Wait, you just RDL’ed 225 for 20? Wow![/quote]

lol I believe that’s a 20 lb PR, not a 20 rep PR

That makes a lot more sense, haha.

Duh.

LOL my bad guys, I was in a rush when typing that because I was going out for dinner with the fam, lemmi fix that.

gripper shit, randomness

had a good workout I guess, was rushed though because I had to meet my girlfriend, but it’s okay.

Medium grip Incline: worked up to 180x1 PR 5lb
DB Bench: 60x9
Random back exercises, don’t remember

Okay so I did 180, it felt good, I tried 185 and got stuck half way upp…

alrighty so I need some serious grip work. My hamstrings, glutes and lowerback can lift way more than my grip allows…

Rackpulls(below kneecap) : worked up to 315x1, tried 325 but couldn’t hold it…
Back extension: 45x12 PR 2reps
and then I did a bunch of random upper back and lat exercises… like pullups, cable rows, pulldowns, but i really dont remember…

farmers walks are awesome. So are rack pull holds.

And you can train your grip very frequently. For some reason it recovers pretty quickly. For example you could have one or two days where you work it hard and then hit it on the other days with something or other also. Just get some work in.

I’ve never done this, but try holding your grippers down for a few seconds instead of just mashing them down.

And get some chalk if you can. It’s not like straps cause it’ll actually help you improve your grip. In my experience at least.

I plan on holding my rack pulls at the top for as long as possible, and I already hold my grippers when I crush them, I’m just gunna start doing more pullups and rows I guess

played with gripper and did some “no money” back stuff

Had to split my workout in half due to time stuff. Did the first half:

Powerclean: worked up to 185x1
Squat: 160x8x2

I didn’t feel to fast today, just felt tired. Gunna do Speed pulls and RDL’s afterschool. Hope I hit a 10 pound PR in the RDL.

Had a good second half of the workout.

Deadlift: 165x8x1 (these felt SO fast, going to increase the weight again)
RDL: 235x8 PR +10lb

x2 on the chalk.

it adds a considerable amount to your grip strength. I don’t leave home without it.

My gym doesn’t allow chalk, and I can’t switch gyms because I go to the cheapest gym in my area and I can’t afford a more expensive gym unfortunately

unless they’re real nazis about it, you can just be sneaky. put some in a ziploc bag, put that in a smaller bag that you put in your gym bag. as long as you don’t Lebron the chalk you should be ok.

hmm, im not too good at being sneaky… how about liquid chalk? does that leave a mark?

no it doesn’t. I’ve tried it before and it doesn’t do diddly for my grip after a few minutes. I might as well have just spat on my hands and rubbed them together. my hands get really sweaty though so chalk works better for me.

maybe until I can use chalk I’ll just rub the dust from the floor on my hands

Had a crappy ME upper, I think I need a deload…

Superclosegripbench: 155x1, failed 185 half way up, shouldn’t have taken such a massive jump
bench: 135x10
Db row: 65x2x15

next max upper i’m gunna go for a high rep DB bench max

back, relaxed. November 5th

gripper work and no money exercisesss
