WTF?? Our bodies are strange!

Things like this really annoy me. Here I am, sitting at my desk working on a project, and the phone rings. I reach to pick it up and BAM! a shooting pain down the left-side of my back, as if someone punched me in the lung. And the soreness is lingering. Funny how all the deadlifts, good mornings, crunches, etc., that I do all the time can’t prepare me to answer the phone! Ug. Sorry, just needed to vent. Well, at least I can fall down a flight of stairs and get up without any problems (happens more often then I’d like to admit.)

I hear you bro. I have “glass” ankles. And I sprain them very easily. In fact, I sprained my “good” ankle this weekend. All the working out that I do (weights, GPP, sprinting, etc), doesn’t seem to do anything for my ankles. It totally sucks. My friends are always making fun of me.

After every set you do try stretching the muscle group your working on. That should make a difference.

If you have weak links and fragile body parts, don’t you think you should avoid dangerous activities? Perhaps less unsafe activity is the answer, not more.

Well, I’m hoping this is just an isolated “weird” occurrance and doesn’t become a habit. I generally don’t consider reaching for the phone a dangerous activity, lol. But I agree … if you are susceptible to injury or have “weak links,” I would rehabilitate those areas prior to going full tilt into a workout.

Backoff? LOL! Hell no! They are gonna have to toughen up from excessive sprains and strains. Hey, if they don’t get better, I’ll cut my feet off and walk on some pegs! LOL

OOPS! Sorry DemoDick … my last message wasn’t intended for you. IE automatically tries to spell out my name and I must’ve clicked wrong.

dude, i reached for the stapler while sitting at my desk one day a few years ago and threw my back out. a feakin’ stapler! i could feel my lower back begin to sieze up, but there was nothing i could do. i was out of commission for two whole weeks. what the hell is that all about? i feel your pain t-bro…kevo
