Would This Be Overtraining?

I am currently cutting on a psuedo Velocity Diet type regimen with 1510 being my mimunum cals and 1850 being my max. Here is my planned workout schedule:

Su: Chest and Biceps
M: Basketball training (1.5 hours)
T: Back
W: Basketball training (1.5 hours)
TH: Legs + Lower back
F : Shoulders and Triceps
S : OFF

Do you guys believe that this is over doing it considering my calorie intake? Should I switch to a 3 day split and have 2 days off instead of only 1?

you have no exercise/set/rep schemes so how could we possibly know?

Chest, Back, Legs = 9 sets of compound movements (bench, rows, etc.)
Shoulders, Arms = 6 sets of compound (shoulders) and isolated movements.

Basketball:
start class by running to end of court and back 4 times
Then move to lay up drills
then move to 3 on 2 drills running down the court
lastly 4 on 4 for the last bit of class

the class is 90 minutes and the majority of the time we are moving. Hopefully this is enough information for everyone, need more? Just ask.THANKS

I dont think it is, I lift twice a day 3 times a week and do HIIT cardio on days i dont lift and feel fine, its just about how your body feels.

If your sore as shit ALL the time your either not getting enough calories or your body cant handle that load yet.

Take time to feel it out

Wow, low calories man!

Yea, well i believe its not overtraining till your body is giving you signals. Doesnt seem like too much to me anyway.

Your 1510 - 1850 calorie max is to low for the amount of work your doing; not sure why you need to be at 1510-1850 calories max no matter what?

Seems that this program is destined to fail due to insufficient calories; dont be surprised when you start binge eating and feeling to tired to workout…

Only suggesting you take a look at maybe boosting your calorie intake… I am unsure how much intensity your 1.5 hours of basketball drills involve; but if its anything like the drills i use to do; then your calorie intake is not enough… You can still loose wieght even with higher calories…

Yea ^^

I wouldnt be suprised if you lost muscle and fatiqued easier.

Id add another 1000 cals onto that shit!

I bet youd feel like shit. If you have a GOOOOAAL you should stick with it.

Monitor your progress.

If your workouts start to stagnate or suffer, and you feel more and more like crap all the time, then you are probably becoming overtrained and need to take more time to recover.

But if you are young, getting a good amount of those calories post-workout, sleeping plenty, and have low life stresses, you can probably handle quite a bit of working out.

If you are training a LOT and not getting bigger and stronger then you need to eat more or train less, or both. It’s that simple.
