i didn’t mean to give irresponsible advice i think my explanation may have been a little bit misleading. basically you shouldn’t do your lifting routine everyday and if you are trying to cut and also gain muscle mass. these are two goals that somewhat conflict each other you’re better off choosing the one you desire more and puruse that first.
as for cardio most people involved in sports do that much or more but again i would not suggest doing this everyday, switch it up play ball one day and maybe run the next day. im just trying to give some basic guidance.
Well I would rather play basketball everyday just because it a lot more fun and I think I really do get a lot it overall. So basically I cannot get both ripped/toned abs and put on muscle on my arms/upperbody is what you are saying?
not saying its impossible but if u think of what it entails to lose bodyfat you have to cut and generally go on a low carb high protein diet. to lose the fat weight u want to burn more calories than you are consuming through lifting and cardio. to gain muscle mass you have to consume more calories than you are burning, have a solid lifting routine and back off on the cardio while eating as much clean food as possible. so not saying it is impossible to do both but gains will be maximized if you focus more on one goal than another.
Well I suppose I will go for the abs right now because I have a better jump on those and kind of always wanted them to show a lot. So I guess any helpful hints would be great. Such as some changes with my diet or whatever? Or do I have that down pretty good because I have looked and dont eat more than 2000 calories a day. Should I also cut those down more?
I guess I have not done those so I guess I will have to add them into my workout routine. Something else that I saw while reading what someone had lost a lot of weight (congrats) and their ribs were showing when they flexed. Well everyone to their own but I guess but I look at mine when I flexed (arms over head kinda pose) and could see my ribs a little.
Well no I do not want that at all but dont want to give up my dieting down because I really want my abs to show more. So I guess if anyone could also help me determine how I can add some mass while not having to quit my diet that would be awesome. Thank you.
