As I think you know, the Superman covers in which he is clearly a complete dick are almost endless in their scope, variety, and number.

I think the number is greatly over-exaggerated their might be 3 or 4 instances of Supes being a dick but that’s about it.

The number of such covers is almost beyond belief. It takes a long time to run through what is probably still only an incomplete collection, as it continues to be added to: Superdickery - Be sure to catch Avengers 4: The Unsnappening

“LEAVE EVERYTHING TO ME”

Guess who?

To my understanding the underwear over the pants comes from the old school circus strongmen that use to wear the old singlet like leotard whatever when they performed. Think of old school Luis cyr shots and other old school strongmen. The comic book artist wanted to associate the hero with strength and the look back in the early 1900’s was easily recognizable.

Forgot the example

That’s exactly where it came from.

As much as I like those classical ideas, I do think it is time to update some of those costumes.

Superman’s costume is ghey. There is just no way around it. There is no reason for a grown man today to ever wear his underwear on the outside of his pants.

Batman’s costume in the movies has been successfully updated.

If they ever do a WonderWoman movie, I SERIOUSLY don’t see how they could pull that off without changes. Who the hell takes a brightly colored stripper in an invisible jet seriously.

Fool Killer has my vote. From wikipedia:

“The original Foolkiller was introduced in Man-Thing #3 and killed in the next issue.”

Lol. Introduced in a 2nd rate comic and killed after 1 issue. Talk about a chump!

You can put this motherfucker right up there with Snarf and Aurthur from The Tick.

Aqua Man.

At the risk of sounding ghey, I love the Power Puff Girls!

Entertaining cartoon with a bit of retro style… plus the hard-edged graphics appeal to my illustrator sensibilities.

Oops, my bad.

The Mighty Heroes of course! Lame, but they were fun when I was a little spaz.

It could be argued that Hercules was the first superhero… but when Bill Murray plays the role of Herk, it’s gotta be the worst superhero of all time.

Funny as hell:

Care to elaborate on that one?

nah not really man, I just saw your deathstroke avatar and as an old skool comic fan i know Deadpool was basically a rob liefeld rip off of deathstroke, and as deadpool is one of my favorite characters I figured I’d make a comment…

I don’t really see enough of a likeness between the two to say that one is a rip-off of the other. At least not in their current incarnations. Sure, they are both mercenaries with a sword fetish, and have virtually identical civilian names (Wade Wilson vs. Slade Wilson - which was a deliberate move by Liefeld as a way of implying that the two were related; basically a reference to his being told that the orignal version of Deadpool was too similar to Deathstroke).

Besides that, their origins and personalities are pretty distinct and have become even more so over the years. I think that is more important than a few superficial similarities.

You’d never see Deathstroke conduct himself like Deadpool. In fact, I seriously doubt that you’d see anybody act like Deadpool, except Deadpool himself, that is.
