I thought HPV came from Fat Chicks. I guess all them young men on here love them some fat chicks. Can I get some Help Derek?

At least she was thinking about you. I always got a $2 bill from my grandmother for Christmas.
Quit your kvetching! What have I goten for Christmas from anyone, ever? Bumpkis!
I miss my grandmother, and would give all those $2 bills back to spend one more day with her.

Every year, on my birthday, I get a check from my grandmother. This year I got $28. A dollar for every year. I’ll be extremely lucky if I see a $29 check next year. :frowning:

Ok - from one medical professional to another then:

Well 80% of the population has a strain of HPV whether they are symptomatic or not. Generally a person who has warts will develop a suppressive immunity after about 2 years, after which outbreaks will subside or disappear entirely. However if they don’t get the warts taken care of as they appear, they run the risk of continued outbreaks, and of course spreading them.

Now you can have your dentist test you for oral HPV which can cause throat cancer. My ex gf (who is a dental assistant) insisted on testing me for that shit.

I don’t know about the fat chick theory - i haven’t been with any so I guess i’m safe for now.

Yes that was my point about how it has exploded over the last few years. Genital HPV was not prevalent back in my day, it was standard STD’s and of course that was when AIDS exploded.

What do you do?

My mom is a nurse and she told me that I could get herpes from public toilet seats. My awsome squatting power comes from all those years of hovering…

I have my FNP and so does the wife. Started out as a Respiratory therapist back in the early 90’s.

Wife did Halo for a childrens hospital. Hats off to people who could do that.

oh shit - wish you would have told me sooner - gots to git a call to my local doc now, thanks!

Since you mention dental assistants being able to check you for oral HPV that reminds me something my sister told me. She is a dental hygienist, 2 year fucking degree and she makes six figures its bullshit, anyways she told me that they can tell which women or men having been giving oral sex recently because of a notable pattern of bruising they get on the back of their throat. Haha how funny is that.

? Sorry I have a dentist friend and she in no way shape or form pays her hygienists this much.

Where do you live that someone can make that kind of money?

Agreed…also, a dental assistant can’t diagnose anything. They may be trained to look for signs of something…but the doctor still makes the diagnosis. Same goes for a hygienist.

I know some hygienists making upwards of 70K…but have never heard of six figures unless her doctor is pulling in 3 times as much.

Maybe she is married to the Doc?

Or he is Canadian, you know how socialized medicine is in the great white north.
Derek542 wrote:

That explains it.

Then yes, ALL of the money is her’s.

Someone here must be a crappy gift giver. I’m certainly not the best. Last Christmas my husband and I had a $60 limit for each other. I managed to score a deal on a compound mitre saw which sounds good except that I got it because I knew we had to put up a bunch of trim in the new house. For some reason at gift giving time I lack imagination. I think part of it is age. We have just about evertyhing we need.

And the best gift of all ?.. Divorce…where she takes half the money and keeps all the pussy.

I live in the DC metropolitan area so I am sure the DH make more here then most other parts of the country. She works at two different offices and is paid 50 dollars an hour at one and just under 50 at the other. Its around 100,000 dollars a year if she works five days a week and over if she works six days a week.

By the way if you guys can read I never mentioned her being able to diagnose anything I just stated that I was told that the people in the office can sometimes see marks in the back of the the throat that are indicative of someone who had recently engaged in fellatio.

Meh…I’m in the DC metro area and have a sister-in-law that has worked as a hygienist for 30 years…no way your friend is making 50 bucks an hour.

She Say and I quit trading gifts a few years ago…we now just go away for the weekend without the kids or go to a fancy schmancy restaurant.
