T-Friends,
I would appreciate any and all thoughts and input on this matter. I finally put two and two together and the chronic joint pain I’ve been experiencing must be from Accutane.
see the HORROR stories here
There are many stories of people who’s pain is MUCH worse than mine, I’m still able to train although my elbows and knees hurt (knees especially) but I really would like my pain to go away and not get worse.
Does anyone know anything about Hylauronic Acid or a supp called Biocell Collagen II?
One poster had this to say:
"Then consider biocell 2.(olympian labs)
It is comprised of:
chondroitin sulfate, biocell 2 chicken collagen and hylauronic acid.
Hylauronic acid is a moisture retention molecule that is in our body and is shut off by accutane which is why the synovial fluid in the joints dry up and cartilage grinds against cartilage. Hylauronic acid also retains water from the inside which keeps the skin from becoming dry.
When you age and become wrinkled this is actually loss of hylauronic acid.
Chondroitin alone is not enough, although important, it is the hylauronic acid that must accompany chondroitin along with raw ingredients to rebuild collagen which also plays a role in the synovial membrane. "
I’ve still got a couple weeks left of my pills to take and then I’ll be done with a 5 month cycle…skin is perfect but I don’t want to end up like the people posting in that forum…young people with fybromyalgia and arthritis and shit. I probably won’t finish the pills just in case. I’m taking fish oil, flax oil, and glucosamine/chondroitin although not as much as I should.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks
-DT
