Kind of disappointing he’s only attempting to beat the record by 1kg. Feels kind of cheap when Eddie beat it by like 30kg. Saying that, I’m not surprised and think most people would do the same.

I get both sides of what you’re saying.
On one hand it’s only a. 2% increase. It hardly feels worth it.
However it’s an increase. You cant deny that.
But this is the way records go. They hardly ever go up in huge jumps. Its normally marginal gains over time.
Easier to beat the record again at a different contest and hit the bonus prize money again and again.
Looks like the Arnold classic is going to be closed to spectators secondary to crono virus cancers. The competitions will still happen apparently but in dead silence …
So… Basically just like every world’s strongest man contest between 2015 and 2018

That’s really gonna suck for the competitors. A lot of them try to get the crowd riled up to get them psyched for some of the events.
I just saw on IG that they are gonna let in spectators for the events.
That makes so much more sense.
I mean, jeez, basketball games are still being played in enclosed arenas right?
Government just wants to appear they are doing something, it’s about perception not results.

Well it’s been a pretty good comp so far. A few surprises but been entertaining. Not the excitement that was there last year with a ww deadlift on the table but was still fun considering the only spectators are athletes competing.
Wifey and my mother in law are watching Martins highlights video on YT and screaming at the TV 
In a vid on Martins channel big Z said he thought the trial by stone event was a bullshit event. Thought that was pretty funny

And it looks like Thor was blacking out on his Stone Pressing? I would love to know their “supplement” stacks and dosages.
Looked like Thor has some sort of issue with his right hand/wrist given the way his grip kept giving out on the frame carry. He finished 4th in the frame carry, giving Mateusz an opening for first place. Still unlikely -Mateusz will win the dumbbell event, but Thor would have to finish 4th in the Cyr dumbbell to lose to Mateusz, and that is highly highly unlikely unless injury strikes.
Martins has I think a half point edge over Caron for 3rd. Basically, it comes down to which one of the two beats the other in the Cyr dumbbell.
Mateusz is unbelievable; at 26 yrs old he has likely not reached his physical peak. Future WSM and Arnold winner guaranteed. (barring injury)
