I think hollands is doing masters ??
Shaw’s decline has been the literal definition of meteoric.
First hamstring knocked the edge off him and the latest seems to have brought him right back to the pack. Still, one event.
Is it overly sensitive to feel like it has at least a smidge of an aftertaste that the guys are pulling a police riot-control truck in a country ruled by a totalitarian regime?
He is doing Masters next week in Florida.
Spoiler Alert: Truck Pull
Kieliskowski winning the event is propably not a huge surprise. Shivlyakov coming second-to-last though really is. He had problems with his shoes, didn’t wear climbing shoes but rather indoor soccer shoes and he wrapped the back half with plastic bags. Don’t ask me why though. Pritchett came last and did not seem to have pulled on the rope with his arms AT ALL. Touched his left biceps afterwards, looked to me like he might have an injury there.
Overall, Heinla and Kiels are joint leaders after two events.
Now I have to go drive to my in-laws and can’t watch the rest of it, which just sucks, but well…
Well, he’s off to a pretty good start on his weakest event, 8 reps on Viking Press.
It’s a “fire truck”
Has anybody been watching the livestream for the Official Strongman Games these last three days?
Masters men just finished, Hollands won. Was already leading going into the Power Stairs and won those too. Plus Anthony Fuhrmann won the under 105kg class for the second time in a row.
Good to see Terry get a win, even if it is masters.
Big Z competed masters last year and I think Felix still does. These are current WSM athletes so it’s serious business
Yer, I wasn’t saying it because it wasn’t serious competition. More that I just wished big Terry had won WSM when he was a little younger.
Thor has started his 2020 Arnold Classic preparation.
Martins still has to qualify, which makes no sense since he finished 2nd last year, but apparently only Thor as last year’s winner gets an automatic spot. Martins has been dealing with an injury, and his last chance to qualify will be January 18 at the Arnold in Santa Monica. Fingers crossed…
This is such a great show. I’m planning on competing in it next year, probably would have done it this year if I hadn’t had my pec tear in May. That just threw everything off. If I can stay relatively healthy, I’ll be there in 2020.
Well this sucks!

Indeed. If I watched the correct video he still lifted 7 or 8 atlas stones after tearing it. I think there is a video on @queen_cobra ‘s log.
I was there, OSG is arguably the best contest in the country (and I’ve been to SC & USS Nationals multiple times for comparison).
I believe nearly 40% of the competitors were foreign, and most of the podium finishes had three different countries represented. A couple had two U.S. finishers, the HW women had two English gals and one American. But the U.S. didn’t sweep any category, usually just had one person in the top three.
