Anyone watching or interested?
I’ve been watching every class. It’s been immense. 56 was really good and today the 85 was IMMENSE!

94 just finished really thrilling! A few dodgy lifts, injury, unconscious etc… Look forward to 105 tomorrow.

How bout Pat Mendes?
You know he’s competing for Brazil now.
Mendes failed all 3 snatch and only got one C&J. Pretty poor showing.
105 was stupendous! Probably the shortest held C&J world records ever. How Ilya did it I’ll never know. Weightlifting at its very best. Tomorrow the big boys.
The 105s was a competition for the ages. Four attempts at a world record clean and jerk, three of them successful. Insane.
Tatiana Kashirina hitting 5 world records and adding 14kg to the total world record in the women’s supers is absolutely asinine. Unbelievable.
Little disappointed in the men’s supers, I was really rooting for Lovchev and was hoping for some bigger numbers from Albegov and Salimi. I’m also disappointed that I fell asleep during the stream and missed all the big lifts.

Koing, did you meet Ilya when he was in London at the Olympics?

Yeah buddy!
I loaded the 56-77 B groups and 85-105+ A groups and had access to the training hall.
I loaded the 233 CJ for him. When he came off the stage he shook all of the loaders and thanked us. You can see me loading the plates if you watch the recording on youtube.
I have pics with Apti, Wu Jinbiao Zhang Jie and Kim the 62Kg Korean lifter.

Thanks! Seems a really nice guy. I was sorry for Lovchev missing the snatch but he didn’t give up and got gold in C&J.

Did you see the selfie Ilyin took in the warmup area between snatch and clean and jerks?

Seems all around very happy as well. This was before everyone started seeing all of his training videos. I guess winning a Gold Medal at the Olympics you would be pretty dam happy!
Amazing to come back from bombing the Sn to get a Gold in the CJ.
Someone removed my link to youtube. Google the 94 A group from 2012 and you will see me loading.

Impressive as hell, but the real test is whether she can continue to push those numbers up as she grows through the youth/junior ranks into a senior, or if she’s peaking a little early in life.
