Training has still been going strong, covid-19 pushed back two of my comps sadly so I won’t be competing in april, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I can compete may 16th at east texas strongest man. LW 181 division looks really doable, I bet I’ll place top 3.

Max Log Clean & Press
Axle Deads for reps in 60sec at 480lbs (Ouch)
Zercher Carry + Sandbag Medley 50ft each (375#yoke, 200#sandbag)
Sled Drag #400lbs x50ft

Boy, I have a lot of work in front of me to be where you are. You should have a few reps on the 480 pound axle in you if you’re competing on May 16, and definitely a 500 single. Great work!

Motivation is low but the thought of standing on top of that WSM podium in the future and knowing I lifted through a fucking pandemic is doing enough to keep me going right.

I see Covid-19 isn’t stopping you either, props to you to brotha.

Just thought I’d drop in and share my favorite poem (The only poem I know)
These are rough times to workout much less be motivated to workout. I know I’m struggling. Whether it be problems with motivation for lifting or even living your normal life I hope y’all can get something out of this like I do-

"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright,
Their frail deeds might have danced in green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on it’s way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on that sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
-Dylan Thomas, 1947

Be safe everyone, love you all, don’t let this adversity crush you.
