Hi everyone, long time reader, first time poster. I am planning an extended trip this summer biking around Europe. I won’t have the luxury of visiting a gym or taking supplements/protein powders or even eating on a regular basis. Can anyone recommend a workout that I can do while sleeping in hostels to keep a bit of muscle mass? Should I just stick to bodyweight stuff like pull ups, pushups, sit ups, bodyweight squats and headstand pushups? I don’t really know what else I could do…
Thanks
“If you want it badly enough, you can have it.” You might try the wresters workout (I think that’s what it is called-it uses high reps of a few bodyweight exercises.)
Bodyweight exercises are good. You should also invest in a good resistance band. It is not the same as lifting, but it will at least stress the muscles a bit. I know that the Westside guys at elitefts.com use bands in extra workouts and do just about every movement under the sun with them. Take a resistance band and a jump rope and you have a travelling gym. Best of luck.
