I have a sprained ankle and cant put ANY weight at all on my left foot. I’m basically sidelined right now in the middle of a fat-loss program. (Yes the injury came from doing cardio, and it sucks, but it was a freak accident that couldnt be helped.) I have 2 25lb dumbells, and I would like to formulate a workout plan with these to keep my heart-rate up and still be able to put these Maximum Strength HOT-ROX to use. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks in advance guys.
There’a actually lots you can do…including virtually any upper body exercise you can think of, and (depending on your ankle) possible leg curls, back extensions, and back extensions. Really, the only thing you can’t do lifting-wise are squats, deads, and O lifts.
Now I’m not sure why you’d want to get your heart rate up (you only get a certain number in this life ? why use them up early?) but that’s just me

Train the UNINJURED side like crazy; you’ll get some CNS-mediated carryover in strength to the injured side so that rehab won’t be nearly as tough.
wow, thanks a million guys. If I can muster up the strength, I think ive got some one-legged squats coming my way.
