Pouty…

Unacceptable.
I have to agree with Joe here, Em. 17 texts + phone calls by 4:00 pm is a bit outta hand.
It’s not quite 7 am. He texted good morning at 5:29, which I answered, then three more texts by 6:30, which I ignored, then a call at 6:45, which I ignored. This after I told him two days ago that things were too intense for me and specifically that blowing up my phone when I’ve said I’m tired and going to sleep is unacceptable and I think we’re not for each other because I’m probably “too independent” for him, which is a joke, because I’m not independent at all. How he knew I’d be up at 5:30 is that I’d said I have an early meeting today in addition to my long drive. Does that not suggest that I’m busy?

I don’t think I’m too picky. :frowning:

On another topic, orion has a name? ~blink~

The word “pathological” kind of springs to mind.
yep, sounds straightup creepy.
Yeah, I’m not thrilled with any of it. I was wishing on the way home from work that I’d gotten the gun Pat was recommending a couple of weeks ago, then I realized I’d probably be one of those girly asshats who waves the gun and threatens, then claims “I mean it!” and then starts crying and fails completely.

It is a bizarre progression in just a couple of weeks.

Well, maybe you have to process a lot before pointing a gun at someone and mean it.

Not necessarily a bad thing, most people leave that process out entirely.

I sold one company already and this would have been arguably within a non-compete at the time. (My lawyer said I was fine, but that it would be a lawsuit.)

Plus, I’ve got 30 rigs/workover rigs owned free and clear right now. I really have more than I can do with eastern NM/West Texas. I’d have had to hire a manager I trust because it’s just hard to get to essentially Corpus from NM.

I have put frac crews to work in the Eagleford because the capital was low and it doesn’t require a lot of supervision. So the idiots can be on meth and still get the job done.
lol

Yea well the medics and staff I put out there you dont want on Meth.

I think Corpus is still in the Cocaine era believe it or not. I bust more of that down there than anything else.
Absolutely and don’t forget the wealthy ranch owners on pills, booze, snorting crank, and while playing the cocaine cowboy.

I was out on a ranch with the owner once. Driving around in his jeep shooting varmints. And he says to me. I hate laziness, I’d rather a boy have nose candy problem than be lazy. lol

I think he wanted me to marry his 17 year old daughter.

These weren’t so much Texans as guys from big cities, in general.

Worst were some mid-stream guys in the Eagleford Shale play (not really my area, but I know the people) who were trying to get me to get crews down to drill near their not-yet-built-pipelines.

One investment banker from NYC/Minnesota/Dallas in Italian shirts, $300 jeans, and pointy Tony Lama boots kept saying “that dog don’t hunt.” I think he weighed 110lbs soaking wet, and was about 5 feet tall. He thought he was so fucking charming. I almost killed him on principle.
Hey I’m sure he’s got the 190" whitetail he shot in a high fence for 20 grand to prove his country prowess. Maybe even a lease in the hill country.

He sounds like a good chew toy for a hog dog.

Nah, that just doesn’t smell good. Somethin’ ain’t right.

Question is, how close did you get to him to get him to thinking four texts and one phone call by 6:45 a.m. might be appropriate (despite your “not for each other” speech)? You might’ve mentioned the answer already and I missed it.
I don’t know. Last weekend, pretty close physically and we had a lot of fun, but there were certainly no love or commitment words, and all along I’ve been saying things like “we’ll see” and “we hardly know each other,” trying to slow the train.

I guess I allowed the over-contact right from the beginning, though “sloooow down” came up on my side more than once. He’d respond with something like “lol, okaaaaay” so I thought it was joking to some degree.

He also mentioned “surprising” me by showing up and I was clear that I would find that frightening and stalkerish, and noted that if we ever got as far as exchanging keys, then it would be fine for him to show up at my doorstep unexpectedly. The second time he brought it up was one of the things that prompted the “not for each other” speech.

Still, conflict is not my strong point, smoothing things is, so even though I was saying the right stuff my tendency is to go immediately after into recovery mode, so messages may not come across with clarity.

I mean, how close can you get in two weekends?

Hey Em,

It occurs to me that if Biotest is not paying you for your posting activity, they really should.

I don’t say that in any derogatory way – your threads bring about interesting discussion, and your own posts are entertaining.

Here’s to hoping you at least get a free Finabar now and then! :-)
Aw, thanks.

It`s all you bro!

Either
A) I already know that; or,
B) You`re lying.

“Network” as a verb not talking about computers, but social interaction.

I was thinking toddler, but no, he’s a grown man with his own place, a truck, a car, couple boats, and 11 guns. And a really gorgeous, lovable retriever.
If he admits to 11 firearms, he has 20+.

It’s the guy equivalent to the girlfriend saying how many guys has she slept with.

Pretty much have to double the answer to get the true figure.

“We go above and beyond”
I freakin hate that one! Good chance you are going to get screwed by the same guy that just told you that.

Really? But - why? Why would someone lie about hunting rifles and such? And why would anyone have 20+ of them?
EmilyQ wrote:

Why do women need more than 2 pairs of shoes, 3 if you were suits were you need brown work shoes too?

I always give 110%…

How can you give more than 100%?

I hate it when people try to pronounce acronyms as if they were words! Especially:

HVAC - is NOT “aitchvack”
.OLE - is not “ole”, programmers are not matadors
and so on.

I also hate
“all in”
“wahzup”
“'sup”

Because many people would think he’s weird without thinking it through. Same as many would think a girl was a slut for having X number of lovers without thinking it through.

Firearms are like wrenches. You need different sizes and shapes for different jobs. Sometimes you need a handy one in your car. Or in a drawer somewhere.

So, you end up with:

3-4 carry pistols for different clothes (suit vs. winter coat vs. going jogging)

Maybe 2-3 for cars and desk

Couple of revolvers you own and are not sure why

4-5 Shotguns for birds, sporting clays, the one you bought by accident and didn’t like, the one you got from your aunt when your uncle died, and self defense

.22 rifle for plinking

another .22 because it was your dad’s and another because you got it for your 9th birthday

Big animal rifle .300 Weatherby or above

Deer rifles of various kinds 30/30, .308, another from your uncle that died,

Then some sporting rifles of the AR variety if SHTF, .223, 7.62

Grandpa’s M-1

Then some Russian stuff (AK-74 and AK-47) you bought because it was really cool and the ammo was cheap.

… and pretty soon you have 30+ firearms and have an arsenal by accident.

In short, if he admits to 11, he has 20+

Just like a girl who admits to 11 lovers really has 20+

Hey Ruff, I got a notice that you invited me to the War Room?

What’s that about?

BTW, never served.
As posted in the other thread, operator error trying to figure out if PMs worked.

Nothing to PM you about, but I just figured at level 100 you would be a safe bet to suspect if PMs worked.
