Not to defend @therajraj , because he’s mostly absurd.
His point was women should be marching in the street against Islam if they value their freedom and equality. Are some women subject to rape, murder, cold offices, mansplaining etc… in America?
Sure. To some extent women aren’t perfectly equal in the West (although they have perks like a heavily tilted family court system and much lower arrest/charge/conviction/sentencing rates than men for the same exact crimes).
But if you take a look at how women are treated in Saudi Arabia, there’s absolutely no comparison at all.
So basically Raj tried to shoehorn in “yeah, well Islam treats you worse!” into a conversation about feminist strikes in the US.
You guys miss a lot of Raj’s broader points, mainly due to not being in his bubble.
Having examined that particular hive mind in relative detail I can tell you that the broader point here is to shoe horn in the notion of how absurd the defense of Islam by certain groups really is. Which is all a culture war reaction to the intersectionality horseshit that is shoved down our throats everyday by the leftist.
I certainly don’t agree with everything Raj says in the slightest, we’ve had our fair share of arguments on these boards, but end of the day, watch a couple of Milo’s speeches and you’ll gain about a 300% increase in understanding where he’s coming from.
But in this particular instance, the LGBT and feminist community so loudly shouting in defense of a religion that harbors vast numbers of people that want to hang them for their sexual preferences, and force them to wear face wraps and be subordinate to men is absurd.
I was actually defending @therajraj . Which annoys me because he calls for apartheid and forcibly relocating Jews… but anyway. Yes feminists wearing Burkas in solidarity would be like black guys in clan outfits. It is beyond absurd.
It is pretty clear why the left likes Islam though. The left hates the West. They hate that a bunch of pasty white Europeans in wooden shoes conquered the entire world and remade it in their image (which is bad and good for the world). It’s almost a self hatred and guilt that professors teach 18yo freshman. Turns out Islam also hates the West… strange bedfellows.
Women like assholes. Its like trying to tell my sister that her latest and greatest is a chump that still lives with his mom. Then its just waiting for the old “You need to kick his ass!You won’t believe what he did!” phone call.
I asked my wife if she planned on going on strike. Once explained, she laughed and said “What a bunch of stupid c*nts! They make real women look bad.” followed with “Don’t they have anything else to do? Fucking worthless idiots…”.
I understand the feels. I find myself often defending Trump and wanting to strangle him at the same time. In regard to the former I’m done with the shrieking and protesting, not to mention the mischaracterization of the travel restrictions as a Muslim ban, the calls of “Nazi” and “Hitler”, and the claims that he’s somehow anti-gay. In regard to the latter, it would be f’ing dandy if he could learn to communicate at a level somewhat higher than your average high school dropout. I’m becoming convinced that’s an act, but it’s still annoying.
