Fart Rape

Can a fart be misogynist?

"Top feminist academics that have respectable diverse doctorates from medieval art, 6th century English to Women’s Studies gathered at the University of Toronto meeting center to discuss if human flatulence could be sexist.

Ashleigh Ingle a proud feminist and an anarchist argued that because of patriarchal gender norms women were not allowed to release gas in public because of men’s unreal expectations of women to be clean and feminine. Furthermore she articulated that if a woman was to fart in the presence of a man and the man responded by farting louder than the woman, than that would be rape.

‘By farting louder the man is using passive aggressive violence to position himself as dominant, this intimidates the woman to subconsciously not release as much flatulence and thus the woman fearing for her safety doesn’t fart as loud as a sign of submissiveness, this in turn contributes to rape culture and women being oppressed.’

The discussion boiled down to women’s bodies once again being controlled by society and women being told what to do.

Local activist Steph Guthrie a feminist advocate and community organizer who specialises in social media and interactive events proposed an online campaign to tackle this misogyny that "keeps women down and trapped in their own bodies. I just find it horrific that the patriarchy has been controlling women’s flatulence this whole time and we have just realised this now, it is time for feminist worldwide to re-educate women on how they are being discriminated against.

Guthrie’s twitter hash tag #FartRape has started to trend as women are taking control of their own bodies by naming and shaming men guilty of fart rape. Guthrie hopes the guilty men will be identified and then their workplace will be called up and their employer will be notified the type of person they are harboring in the workplace.

But Ingle argues that it simply isn’t enough, ‘Don’t tell women to fart louder tell men not to fart so loud. This is clear victim blaming and government should pass laws to make male farts above a certain decibel illegal to make human flatulence equal and not discriminate against women.’

Science advocates have argued that because of sexual dimorphism men are larger, need a higher protein intake and thus can relieve more flatulence, but the speakers at the conference were adamant that it was a socially constructed gender norm that oppressed women to the point that they physically do not release equal amounts of gas as men."

That can’t be real…

Right?

Right?

Right…?

Prima facie evidence of devolution.

The fact I actually considered this anything but satire for a single second has to show how bad shit has gotten.

I’m going to go invent a fart rape whistle, brb.

You only consider this satire because you are part of the patriarchy and have penile privilege. Go Google the authoress, Ashleigh Ingle.

Or look up #fartrape

She is living proof of my theorem:

Modern feminists are just girls with daddy issues too ugly to be strippers.

I don’t get offended when women queef louder than me.

Women don’t fart. We just fluff a little. It’s not the same thing.

I don’t eat chili dogs.

I guess I need to start doing my part for equality.

Protein powder seems to do the trick. Available for sale right here.

Swedish Left Party moves to ban men urinating while standing

By John Thomas Didymus

"Party officials are pushing to make public restrooms in the county council ‘sitting only.’

According to the Local, supporters of the proposal say sitting while urinating is more hygienic and promotes sanitary restroom habit for male users. It will help to eliminate the problem of puddles on the floor and spray stains on toilet seats. They also argue that urinating while sitting will help to promote male health because it allows men to empty their bladder more effectively. Sitting while urinating according to advocates will reduce prostate problems among men.

The Local reports that as a compromise, the party has proposed that some toilets could, in the interim, be designated exclusively for men who must remain standing while peeing.

The Left Party’s Viggo Hansen, who made the proposal, said that ultimately he wants office toilets in the council to be genderless and would thus like to see only ‘sit-down’ toilets in county council offices.

He said that the move should not be seen as meddling in the bathroom habits of people. He told Sveriges Television (SVT): ‘That’s not what we’re doing. We want to give men the option of going into a clean toilet.’

But proposals across Europe to enforce ‘sitting only’ regulation in public toilets have been criticized. Dr. John Gamel of Louisville University, writing in the Naked Scientists, noted that the push to enact legislation banning men from standing while peeing in restrooms is spreading in Europe with feminists pushing similar legislation in Germany, France and Holland.

According to Gamel, ‘The liberated women of France and Germany and Holland have vowed to put their men down - on the toilet. They carry placards showing a huge red X scrawled across a man standing to urinate. They shout: ‘Laissez tomber votre pantalon, et asseyez vous! (Drop your trousers and sit)!’ ‘Behalte deine Tropfen fuer dich (Keep your drips to yourself)!’ ‘Toch niet weer een vieze plas op MIJN badkamer vloer (Not another filthy puddle on MY bathroom floor)’’

Gamel argues that legislation cannot force men to adopt more supposedly sanitary habits while peeing. He told The Huffington Post that the spray and spatter during “shake off” will not be prevented because ‘no man will want to shake off’ while sitting on the toilet to avoid sticking the hand inside the toilet.

Gamel writes in the Naked Scientists : "…most of the stray ‘sprinkles’ that so enrage European women occur not during the act of urination itself, but immediately afterward, during a ritual men learn as part of their potty training… the various maneuvers required to discharge the urine remaining in the urethra… A man who tucks away his penis without performing these maneuvers will dribble half an ounce of urine into his underwear, causing an embarrassing stain in the crotch of his trousers, or an even more embarrassing streak down his trouser leg. To avoid this debacle, every sentient male, after every urination, carefully squeezes or ‘milks’ his member to assure that no stray drops remain within the urethra.

'Unfortunately, some men pursue this goal with excessive vigor, indulging in what can only be described as ‘shaking off the last drop.’ It is precisely these movements – and not the free-falling stream itself - that deposit most of the unwanted urine on lavatory floors throughout the world."

I save my farts for when I go through security with the TSA. A natural reaction to having my nuts twisted.

That’s because you’re a natural sub.

Hmm I’m wondering if there could be a meaning to your user name that I never considered!

I think there’s an entire component missing from this fart rape concept. Ya’ll ever hear of silent but deadly? Certainly if a man farts stinkier than a woman that is a form of intimidation as well. So, a measurement system needs to be developed that produces an overall rating that accounts for loudness and stinkiness.

So, if woman on a bus farts a 4 for loudness and a 3 for stinkyness, that’s and average score of 3.5. If a man then counters with a 3 for loudness (less loud than hers) but a 9 for stinkyness, thats a score of 6 and an obvious intimidation of the female. We would need mandatory fart assessment classes to make this work though. There would have to be a fair and accurate rating system developed for this to work. Everyone would need to be expert witnesses.

Of course the fem-bitch type will want it to be either/or, not an average.

Hey now. You don’t want to be on the wrong side of me, On Edge.

What I lack in height, I make up for in MEAN.

There’s always some crazy people on the fringe of every movement. A gay friend of mine hates the gay pride parades. The regular gay guys who live in the suburbs and have boring accounting jobs don’t want to be associated with people in body glitter on roller blades.

I’d imagine most of the feminists are thinking the same thing about this silliness. Of course, the crazy people on the fringes make the more moderate people in any movement seem more reasonable.

About the feminist movement. College students at UC Berkeley often live in communal houses where they share meals. Kind of like a big frat house, but with both men and women. We know a student there who lives in a communal house where bras and shirts are optional in the main living areas, for both men and women. This is for the sake of gender equality. I’m pretty sure “equality” is about the last thing on most young men’s minds when the young lady next to them is topless, but I guess they are doing a social experiment and they’ll figure that out eventually. Man without shirt doesn’t equal woman without shirt, unless maybe you’re in some primitive tribal culture. Good luck with that here in the west.

They proposed making pants or shorts also optional but that requires the bottomless person to ask permission of the other people in the room which is a hassle. Then they wanted to have a clothing optional room, but decided that might “trigger” some people and make them feel “unsafe.” This is the kind of thing that goes on at Berkeley, and it’s not really new.

Peggy Noonan recently wrote a great Op Ed piece about free speech, and how the use of the words “I feel unsafe” are used as a sort of fake victim syndrome to shut down whatever isn’t PC.

This IS misogynist: I’m pretty those women have a very poor understanding of what half those words mean. Are you sure this isn’t a Monty Python sketch?

lmao… We had these in college too. Wasn’t about equality though.

Well, on second thought, I was drinking a lot at the time, and never told anyone no, so there was a lot of equal opportunity.

Hey don’t knock equality, it’s about to lead to legal topless sunbathing at Venice Beach

Melissa Diner, who proposed the measure, said women should have the same rights as men to go topless.

“It’s an equality issue,” Diner told the Los Angeles Times. “There’s a conversation we’re trying to start. … What do you want to see on Venice Beach?”

Her sentiments were similar to a movement that gained momentum recently called Free The Nipple. The campaign calls itself a “‘real life’ equality’ movement” with a “mission to empower women across the world.”
