Women and 19-Nor

My girlfriend is currently using 19-Nor diol/dione (100 mg each) and it has prompted a few questions. Does 19-Nor affect a woman’s period? Her period is all whacked out, like starting a week and a half early, super cramps, or no period when there’s supposed to be one. She’s a bodybuilder/powerlifter and we didn’t know if the intense lifting could be what’s causing the problem or if it’s the 19-Nor. Also, her breasts have grown a cup size as well (granted that’s not a bad thing). She is using the pill for birth control (ortho tri-cyclen). Any thoughts?

Yes, the nordiol/nordione definitely could
disrupt her menstrual cycle.

I’ve long sought, without ever finding
a good lead, to create what I’d want to
call “Hooter Fuel” if only Twinlab would
let me. So her results of larger breast
size are quite interesting. If it’s
caused by the supplement (there’s a
very significant chance it is not) it
could not be the nordiol, but possibly
the nordione could be the cause (it does
have an effect on breast tissue in men,
being quite notorious for causing gyno.)

Or did she start the
Pill not long before this happened?

I think that the increased cup size is from “the Pill.” When my girlfriend started using birth control her breast also increased a cup size. I remember something like that being mentioned as a side effect of the Pill.
