BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Not everybody who participated in Sunday’s marathon did it on two feet.
18-year-old Jeremy Fuller is a wheelchair-bound student at Frontier High School who was determined to take part in the race.
So Frontier aide, Kathryn Monk decided to spend her first marathon pushing him the whole way.
“It’s been a rough road, but she came through and asked me if I could do it and I said yes, let’s go for it. So I’ve been through a lot in my life, and this is one of the best days of my life,” Jeremy expressed.
Kathryn exclaimed, “I just wanted to, he’s a good role model. I just wanted to be a good role model to people and let them see that they can do anything they put their minds to. He sat there the whole time and was clapping and every single person that clapped at us is amazing.”
Kathryn’s run on Sunday raised money for Jeremy to go to college and for Frontier’s special education program.
