Just keeping it easy. Usual bunch of empty straight barbell sets including front squats. Might actually Front squat tomorrow lol. It’s the only one that feels nice. Wondering if it’s coming from my adductors. Was trying to stretch the hip flexors and stuff when both adductors would cramp up when trying to stretch either side…really weak out wide. Maybe need some kind of wide work to wake it all up.

Short on time again today with a bit on, so pulled out the DB’s for a play.

DB Bench: weight is in KG each hand.

46x6 - PB! 5kg better than the past too. Not easy to get into position lol. - 101lbs each hand. Next on my shopping list is a pair of dumbbell releasers!!
Could probably get 56kg into position I think, but.it take energy, and I am sure takes a few reps away.

Fun session. Had a high amount of mental stress the last few days with a Couple of health scares within the family, full on man, probably causing most of my lower body tightness to be honest.

Still here. Took the last two days off training. Got some walking in. Had a big work trip to take care of, got back at 8pm last night pretty shagged.

Today though, tip top.

Did a fun session today, mostly for the sole and to get moving again.

Deadlifts were easy. Easily the best they have felt so far. Seems resting might have been good a good idea while basically recovering by a 5 layer stress fest. :joy:

We good now. Everything moving as it should be. Considered squatting, but am happy to give them a little more time. Haha. Got in some goblet squats for warmups, will do those daily to ensure my hips/glutes/hams are all free and willing to perform in a few days.

Bench Sunday. Tomorrow I’ll get some cardio in or something. Someone not lifting for now aside from the goblets.

Bench Felt great.
Food was a bit dry being 5% mince. Just never cooks as nice as the fattier stuff.

Rest day today, so the slightly lower cals I am ok with. Might even make a habit of that. Still managed 50% cals form protein.

I’ve taken to the old tried and true Leangains method for the diet. After 4 days, I honestly wonder why the hell I ever stopped. Lol.

On the road again tonight. Tomorrow will be difficult to comply fully. Will contain a lot of eating tomorrow night I think as lunch is unlikely to get far over 50gm of protein. Will keep it as lean as possible. Did bring protein powder with me…and bought some skimmed milk, so will have a decent start at least.

Thursday will be back to fasting until after lunch time, just doesn’t work down here as I won’t have a fridge from about 8am.

Early morning training at the commie gym tomorrow, hoping my body wants to squat. Either way, I’ll get a great session in.

Early morning training today.

Squat:

120x7 - was ok. not super hard, but knee stability limiting i think.
110x5 (knee felt like it was losing stability…)
100x10 - was fine.

Chinups: 45 degree grip.
BW = 109 according to the gyms scale. With a hoodie, squat shoes, sleeves, etc on.

BW x 8

Upright Row:

32.5x11 - incedental PB.
30x12 - incedental PB.

Squats felt Okay. Best in the last two weeks in an case. Its my hips, im cerntain of it. Need to get more stretching in…and probably less sitting in cars, on planes etc. lol.

Chins felt ok also. Tricep still didnt like regular chinups at all, but the 45 degree (still supinated), felt well enough to get some work in. Kept these reps visciously strict with full dead hang every rep. Brutal. Loved it. Upright Row PB’s just because ive never been this heavy with them. Feel practiced enough now with them to start giving them a push.

No bicep curls, sorry.

When you are fasting…and chasing enormous amounts of protein.

These beauties took me a while to work out, but I did. And so I ordered them lol. Got half serving of rice in the ‘bowl’, twice serving of meat, plus the quesadilla, of which I ate everything aside from half of the tortilla on purpose. Lol.

I’ve got 500gm of diced chicken breast and veges waiting for me at home tonight. And I’ll enjoy a Greek yogurt/protein powder mix for desert.

Hilariously, I should be within 100 cals of the calories I want. Importantly though, will still climb up over 300gm of protein.

Lets go.

106.0kg this morning. 6 days ago I was 107.8kg and a bit angry with myself.

Good first week. Average trending down, but it’s not particularly indicative in week 1 with the water changes and what not from the restriction on the diet.

End of week 2 will be a better indicator of progress. And really, two week assessment points are much more powerful and informative.

Either way, feeling great again. Walking is the order of the day today training wise with some chill time down in the forest with the doggos chasing deer lol.
