Killer weekend out bush with the lads.

Cut down a few trees, chased a few cows that had gone rogue in neighbouring paddocks. Hammered around on a mate’s quad bike for many hours.

Nothing like a couple of days on the farm to reset the soul, ya know?.

120x8 PB. But I mean, every session is a PB on these haha. It’s so easy to warmup for this exercise man. Just a few long pauses in the bottom with the empty bar and I start feeling ready Quickly.

Bench:

Triceps still struggling with the endurance hey. Though, each week I add weight, and each week the final few reps on set 3 feel like the same difficultly. So technically the endurance is improving.

Barbell row:

70x8

107.5x8 PB here also by nature of the progression.
100x10 (this is great after last week only getting 97.5x9 on this set).

Bit of a physique update. No pics :rofl:
But my Glutes have grown a noticeable amount in the last couple months of doing these crazy split squat things.

I had sort of noticed me underwear and shorts feeling a little tighter lately…but the wife says this morning:

“Has you’re arse grown lately? Your underwear is too small again”. Lol.

It has. Jeans are a bit tight too FFS.

The crazy thing is though, is that I’m fucking lighter than I was a couple months ago too. Under 105kg now with the cut moving slowly but very surely along very nicely. More crazy still is that I’ve been lifting for 12 years now…to get Any kind of hypertrophic gain whole cutting seems almost impossible to me.

It’s re-gain I think, atleast in part.
Quads and hammies are slightly bigger also according to the tape.

Havnt noticed much else. Definitely havnt lost any other muscle anywhere I don’t think.

3kg down. Bigger glutes. Good progress. LOL.
Not bad for 2500 calories.

Haha nah it’s been a nice and slow consistent gain. The last week or two I’ve definitely felt it haha.

Wrecked today. Gunna drop the squid off at school and go fishing for half an hour down at the river. The mangroves have grown WELL this year with the unusual weather and I hear the Bass have been biting. Worth a look for half an hour to recharge, then back to the office.

Been up at 6 every morning this week to get the old routine back in order for the summer daylight savings time. Working well, but damn haha.

The goal for the squat 6’s for this block was 120x6x3. Smoked that. The goal for the bent row was to equal the bench 6’s. That’s bloody close. About similar RPE’s for the 113.5x6 bench and the 110x7 row. We close. Bench goal was 115x6. Didn’t quite make it. But I’m a bit down on the sets of 4 also so it’s not surprising. Couple more sessions to go this week to end out the block.

Big for me. Used to them now though. They are here to stay for the rest of the year too. Changing almost nothing for next block.

It looks like you have found a sweet spot for now, so good idea to keep milking it

I just need to not bite off more than I can chew!

Really looking forward to a mock meet end of year for a good bit of fun. I’ll be on holidays in the final week or so before it to, so that will help solidify my recover from the next block I dare to say and help the peak strength to be at hand. Can’t see any little time PR’s happening that day, but I can see the biggest squat of the last couple years being a thing.
