A little yeah. But there are a couple guys there that have a go.
I realised after unloading deadlifts that I had accidentally put a pair of 25’s on the bar for second set (think it was 100 not 110). I worked out they also went on second on squats…so instead of doing 110/120/140
I actually went 120/130/150 LOL. Have update the log above.
There was a guy there doing 60kg power snatches with pretty ok technique too hey. Impressive physique also. Later saw him doing muscle ups for reps. Then front squatting 120 for sets of 3.
Then I saw a guy bending in the Smith machine…with about 1/4 ROM. Then the same ROM on the isolat row and lat pulldown. Fuck some people are misguided.
This is a very polite way to say it. Also this is probably a very true way of saying it. There are probably a lot more people that are just misguided, rather than stupid. Although, there’s probably a level of stupidity that allows them to be misguided. I don’t know what I’m getting at here. Nice lifting.
I think there is 1/4 squatting and there is 1/4 squatting. Using pins to work a smaller range of motion and to use heavier weights is definitely a strategy that can work. Same as using reverse bands to take some load off the bottom can work. But loading up way more than you can lift and moving a few inches whilst straining like you are trying to pass a watermellon whilst your mate says…its all you bro is something else. LOL
