Lat Pulldowns in lieu of chinups. Abs hurt too much to get enough reps to bother. Plenty of pain up high near the ribs lol. The stretch on the chinups was too much for this old bloke.
Left it there. Squats felt Great. Much stronger again than last week, getting 2 more reps with 2.5kg more weight on the AMRAP. Think I had 2-3 more in me. Unwilling to push the leg further. Just happy to progress. The single was also 2.5kg heavier.

Good session. Will only jump 1kg for bench next week I think. Barbell Row continuing to take names, added another 1.5kg, was totally fine. Carry on there. I could jump more, being that my rep target is actually only 8 reps…but I’m more than happy to take the long way here - which usually leads to quicker gains overall anyway, ironically enough. Should have been more conservative on the bench progression early on, working for close grip rather well…started that run at 90kg…and did 1kg jumps from the get go. Sailed past my old 6rm of 95, so there’s that.
Rows again I only started super low on account of my lower back not handling the well due to lack of doing them for I don’t know how long. I’ve caught that up, but yeah. Keep taking it slow to win big.
As a result of today, I’ll do atleast one more session on this bench progression. Then I’ve got a tweak on the menu waiting to be put into action. Kind of want to do it straight away…but I enjoy chasing these reverse pyramid sets. Ha.
How you finding switching to SSB squat? Personally found having made the switch months ago I’m not planning on going back to BB back squats anytime soon

Good session. Not amazing on the deadlift like last week, but still made it to 6. Wanted it. Took it.
Press was better this week. Extra 1kg, and also an extra rep. Curls burned alot. Leg extensions sent me into another dimension.
Yeah it is mate. 105.0 yesty morning. A little high, but this morning it was back to 104.6.
7 day average just below 105. Over 3kg down compared to the last time I was hitting high numbers. This week has no social engagements…so we should see that dip abit more by this time next week.
