Lol. Yeah. Synchronized swimming is a sport, but bodybuilding isn’t. Awesome conversation we have going.
It really pisses me off that there are like 300 channels with all kinds of crap on, but no Mr. Olympia?
I have to admit it is even worse to me that the special olympics is not shown on TV in the USA. Practically every other country in the world gives it almost the attention of the regular olympics, but we can’t bump a couple of rerun documentaries on Sonny Liston for this?
It’s a sign that something is screwed up in TVland.

Put the same amount of effort into being a doctor, lawyer, businessman, hell even a teacher and have a great life.
A huge muscular body + $1 gets you a pack of gum.
I suppose pride in one’s self could be totally lost to someone like you, but to others, it is something worth striving for. I mean, have we lost all sense of dignity that any sort of goal or distant achievement has to result in some kind of monetary value? I take pride in what i do, there’s a sense of honor in knowing i can do what a huge portion of the world couldnt budge. Greed is not a fuel for every fire.
I just said that you could use the same time devoted to BB to pursue getting a MD degree or becoming a lawyer (for ex). Those things are great accomplishments and you get a reward – hell, you could join Doctors Without Borders, or do legal work for the downtrodden and oppressed…instead of flexing your bi’s in a mirror at the gym.
And now I see that Prof X wants to excorciate me in the yet unread post. I think I’ll skip it though. He has me on ‘Ignore’. He ran like a little bitch when I debated him in PWI, so his opinion isn’t worth reading.

The fact that physique athletes monitor their nutrition more closely than athletes in other sports was only mentioned to show a common trend seen across all sports; dedication and effort is required off the field, court, stage as well as on if one wants to succeed.
You’re argument fails because you are trying to determine how atheletic bodybuilders are based on how they look. Some bodybuilders are more athletic than others. My argument would fail the same way if I claimed that you excel at riding dick, simply by looking at your avatar. I mean you probably do, but I have no way of knowing that based only the picture.
Obviously the level of athleticism of the participants has nothing to do with what is or isn’t a sport. Actually someone was making a connection between bodybuilding potentially being at least if not more of a sport due to its extremes in dedication such as dieting. moron.
Dedication and effort has nothing to do with something being a sport. Sure they are a common thread but in no way contribute to the definition.
You may put in a lot of effort and dedication to calling other people gay and making inappropriate slandering sexual references when you can’t compete in a semi intellectual conversation but that doesn’t mean you’re engaging in a sport.
I don’t get it, though. Why are you posting in a bodybuilding thread, or in this sub-forum at all?

Yeah, you’re right.
Schwarzenegger wasted his youth years building his ugly body, and the poor bastard ended up just a world champion, top grossing actor, and governor. What a waste of potential.
If he had a proper plan, he could be a third-rate teacher right now posting on a bodybuilding forum about how insecure he feels around large men.

Where can I watch it online? Though I wish I didn’t have to sacrifice quality.
BEST ATHLETES IN THE WORLD?
why because they are willing to take 100K of GEAR A YEAR?
Most (If not all of these guys couldn’t even run a mile, or 2 100 yd dashes for that matter).
steroids are not the FOUNDATION IN PRO SPORTS< they are used like icing on the cake.
PRO BODY BUILDINGING FOUNDATION IS STEROIDS. big difference.
I regularly workout at VENice gold’s
you can hear the labored breathing of your best athletes in the world. as they cant walk up the stairs.
Good point. As if working out truly would prevent you from pursuing a career. Why do people think like this?

what was posting those two pictures next to each other supposed to prove? Hell yea id take the latter over the twizzler on the left. The guy on the left looks like he has never set foot in a gym, and is just naturally thin. The gym is more things to different people, that is to the people who actually use it properly and arent there 2 days a week for no more than 30min at a time.
To me, the gym is a beautiful testament to my own dedication. There’s honor in the levels we’ve taken our bodies to. And hey, before you say something stupid like “Well maybe not everyone wants to look like that,” i’d just like to remind you that you are on a bodybuilding forum.
This goes for any slack jawed putz flopping around this forum for no fucking reason other than belittling the achievements of others, if you DONT LIKE BODYBUILDING/BODYBUILDERS/BUILDING OF A BODY/DEVELOPING LARGE AMOUNTS OF LEAN MUSCLE, Get the fuck out of the website. And no, i dont want your ego encased retort of ‘ill do what i want’ or something retarded like that. Just Leave. Game over.

No need to hate one guy’s lifestyle to justify your admiration for another’s. The guy on the left looks like he takes his health seriously. He probably eats a strict diet and might even train for a triathlon as much as the bodybuilder trains for his goals.
Yeah. This is a bodybuilding forum. That doesn’t mean we have to talk shit about other sports or people who don’t bodybuild.

Between this and you feeding a fucking 4 year old protein supplements instead of real food, I am not sure what is wrong with you.

But it does mean idiots like headhunter shouldn’t come on here and talk shit about the people who body build. I’m sure there are ‘I don’t like bodybuilding’ forums.

So some douche comes on here and starts shit. That justifies someone else shooting back at some unrelated dude just because the first guy put a picture of him here?

Theres no waying of saying he takes care of himself. I know guys who eats 7k calories in a day and drinks nothing but Dr. Pepper and looks like that. And yes im going to hate on people who are on a bodybuilding forum and dont like bodybuilding. you know why? Those people are a screaming testimonials to the severe lack of natural selection occurring these days.
Lol i mean Come on, why in the blue hell would you be on a bodybuilding site if you didnt care for bodybuilding? it makes absolutely no sense. Lol i wouldnt be surprised if a couple of you BB haters are those same d bags with the names of SteroidsR4Losers and such posting on youtube lol
All kidding aside, it doesn’t really surprise me that it’s not televised, considering there are less then 4 thousand people attending it live anyways. ‘Most’ of us on this site love bodybuilding and take part in it one way or another, therefore we understand what we’re looking at. However I don’t know too many guys that don’t take part in bodybuilding that would want to watch a bunch of other guys wearing tiny bikinis covered in oil.
