LOL @ “Bridezilla”.

I can see right now that guys seem to be marrying people and putting up with shit that I would never even think of putting up with. I just don’t get it.
I’m thinking these guys never had to put up with the shit until they got married, I think marriage just puts women in bitch mode.

Holy fuck, why do you guys marry these dipshits?? She better be hot :stuck_out_tongue: But then again, women who put great value in these bullshit ceremonies of mass consumer whorism and extravagance are telling you before you say I do that you should run the fuck away.

wow.

edit: sorry if that was harsh. I really find it outrageous though.

blech

Lies of omission are still lies.

It’s an issue.

I bet she did Anal the first time they met. At least in my Porn watching history every Brazilian girl does Anal.

LOL, nice.
OP I feel bad for ya, but damn Deb is right. Why would anyone rather sink 20k into a wedding than a house, or something of tangible value is beyond me. Getting married is supposed to be about the love, not the money. If my SO lied to me for 2 years about a 10k loan, I’d kick his ass to the curb. Trust would be destroyed.

There is a Hot v. Crazy scale…

The hotter the chick, typically the more crazy you are willing to put up with.

As a man gets older (and especially if he has been married in the past) the less total crazy he is willing to put up with, irrelevant of hotness.

Now with chicks, they have a Hottness v. Bitchyness. As in the hotter they are, the bitchier they think they can be and get away with it.

Now if they are hot enough, dude will put up with the Bitchiness, mainly because it basically equals crazy in our world, and as long as she fits under the slope of the Line of Unacceptability, she is fine.

Now if she thinks she is hotter than she is (OP’s wife) and tries to be crazier/bitchier than will be tolerated (borrowing 10 fucking K at usurious rates on the sly) she will score above the Slope of Unacceptability and promptly be dropped like a bad habit by most men with a spine.

Dude,

That sucks and you should probably have a serious talk about being up front about finances with her. But, whatever you do, do not listen to countingbeans. That guy is a fat horse and an overall piece of shit.

Can you put this on an excel spreadsheet for me? That’s kind of hard to follow.

I’m with Debra and Dianab on this. Excessive waste of cash but then I’m kind of cheap. I wanted to be married but didn’t want a wedding. To each his own but a lie of omission of this magnitude would have me examining every decision my spouse made and being hyper-vigilant to the point of controlling. Almost like governing a child.

You knew she wasn’t perfect and you married her anyways. I’ll be the wedding was nice and probably worth the price. If she asked, you’d’ve given her that anyways.

Just remember that love is an enduring thing. Love never boasts, and will always be there for you.

She probably did this cause of her undying love and devotion and just wanted you to have the best wedding ever.

I say, forgive and forget.

and enjoy the buttsex. She’ll be giving it up to you for a looooooooooooooooooong time!

my $.02
This is the sappiest, corniest, weakest and ga-hay-est post I have read in several years.

Congrats.

Yeah, let’s just forget this woman ran up a 10K debt that BOTH are likely now responsible for without telling him. That sounds like the start if a WONDERFUL marriage.

this’ll solve all our problems!

I think there are actually less women ABOVE the “Mendoza Diagonal” than ever before in the history of mankind.

Doomed.

We are all doomed, I tell you.

Mendoza diagonal…fuck thats good. But yea X there are some pretty damn crazy bitches in my part of the world. Though at least I see some of the better looking ones while I’m at work.

I’d be more concerned that she lied (although that’s a tough sell with the whole “lie of omission” - women ALWAYS have secrets) than the money, but I don’t think any American can appreciate the social pressure she was under from her community and family - not that that excuses anything… 10K or 12K (whatever the real number is) isn’t THAT much money. But that’s what you get with crazy South American chicks - take if from someone who knows…

Don’t ruin your marriage over it. Just earn more. You can ALWAYS earn more, but you can’t get back time or opportunity. If you have lost neither then you are fortunate. If you divorce her over this you have lost both.

Work it out.

12K is quite a bit if your on a budget chicken.

My wife and I were just married. It was a nice wedding but nothing over the top.

Long story short…My wife just imformed me that she got a $10k loan from her sister 3 months before the wedding to pay for it. All of this time she had told me her parents were helping out. I paid $5000, my parents gave us $5000 and I thought her parents were giving the difference. $10k may not seem like alot to some but it is to us. She has to pay like $500 per month for 2 years to pay it off.

Short of strangling her, how would you handle the situation.
Ram your head through a glass window, get a divorce because she lied to you and fuck her sister.

Must have been a long day elbow-deep in oral cavities, Doc. Your Sarcasm Detector is way off.

The arrangement is a loan of $10,000 paid at $500/mo for two years - that’s at 2% interest! That’s less than the rate of inflation…

Just sayin’ - it’s not a bad deal (especially for an unsecured loan, I don’t know ANY bank in the US that would give those terms…)
