Wondered what you guys knew on this. Pharma like to sell as much of anything as possible, it seems, so what side effects or other reasons took trenbolone out of clinical use?
I think because it was never actually approved for human use in the United States. I’m going from memory here so I could be wrong, but I believe it was made by a French company and they stopped making it back in the mid-90’s. If I had to guess I’d say it was discontinued because there are a lot of other options out there for prescribers to use for the intended effects (usually muscle-wasting diseases) and I imagine the revenues did not exceed the threshold the company had set up internally. Again, total guess based on what I think I read a million years ago.

It was made by a French company and it’s medical uses were for treating muscle wasting, malnutrition, and osteoporosis. Like Iron said I don’t know if it was ever approved in US.
I think it was pulled simply because of the side effects versus benefits. Think about it osteoporosis is more common in women and the drug is 5 times more Androgenic and anabolic than testosterone. I think Doctors just didn’t use it much because they had so many other options and the main selling point of Tren is it is so damn strong compared to the other common AAS’s. Basically they didn’t want a bunch of jacked up middle aged women walking around France.
