Why the mantra "get stronger to get bigger" is bad advice and how strength training infiltrated bodybuilding

Easy, gate keeper.

So the training you do has nothing to do with the results in a meet?

Are you saying that my bodybuilding training had nothing to do with my physique on stage?

I don’t see how that affects whether the person competing was a Powerlifter or not. Maybe the Powerlifter didn’t know they lost legitimacy. He is still a Powerlifter

Imagine if the judges identified as lesbians as well. Time to find another competition

If you do an awesome pose at home, but not at the stage, should judges count that home pose in?

I know it’s hard for you to sleep unless a judge nods. I understand why it’s so tough for you to be confident in yourself.

Apparently you’re running empty now.

Sorry you’re not a powerlifter if you competed in the USAPL because according to the IPF, it’s illegitimate.

I am not the one who isn’t confident enough to say the number of contestants there were in the Middleweight Class of the only bodybuilding competition I entered.

Shouldn’t you be begging for the judges to give you an identity right now? I mean that’s how self-limiting your mindset is

Columbus day. No school.

There were 11 contestants. Now, put the pizza aside and show those quads.

You’re the one bringing identity up all the time.

You can identify yourself to whatever you want, others might not identify you similarly. Be prepared for that.

Like I said, I can identify as astronaut, but most probably would not identify me as one.

You can gatekeep all you want, just don’t be surprised when others call you out on your boomer logic. Be prepared for that.

This is what I say to my wife when im in the mood.

Let’s see your quads too

All joking aside and not starting any shit. @Nyseto would you be willing to post any recent pics just to appease other people’s curiosity?

If boomer is opposing that anyone can just decide what they are while ignoring all the circumstances, it doesn’t sound so bad.

It’s important to “gatekeep” terminology. Otherwise words lose meaning.

Ooo. That’s hot!

Nice strawman, but that’s not what I said. Nobody’s “ just deciding” anything training the squat, bench, and deadlift with proper methodology is powerlifting. Competing doesn’t magically make the lifts more real.
