For the past few months, I’ve been honest with myself and others. If someone asked me why the heck do I train so hard, I told the truth or at least gave them the taste of it
Feel more powerful, dominant.
I want to attract hotter females, more of those too.
I want to feel and be strong.
I want to feel confedent.
I want validation from other people.
I want to be a role model to other people.
It feels great to work-out, setting goals and accomplish them.
Some health reasons
I want to look badass to scare off little kids and fatties who try to steal my popcorn at cinema.
To flex my biceps like American Psycho when I f*** someone.
The list is pretty big, but more or less - a lot of stuff I do in the weight room build some character and self-confedence (accomplishemnt of goals for instance gives me positive experience of me accomplishing goals and I do the same in other areas of my life).
I always overhear people talk about how they not train to be more sex-appealing and they only train for HEALTH reasons? Well, while there is some truth to the second…there is like no truth at all to the first one.
I’m curious, WHY DO WE REALLY TRAIN? Why do we build our bodies to such proportions or not such proportions in my case…but on the way to the proportions?
When I bring up dominance, self-confedence and etc, there is always like 100% chance that some dork is going to splash out “Oh …just work on your INNER self”. Are you high or something? Meanwhile I do WORK on my inner-self as well…there is no way a 90 pounder is going to be perceived as dominant, powerful and other feelings associeted with it unless he has Red Army and a gun that is bigger than himself.
End of rant, I’ve too much testosterone right now…time to do some external rotations.

Good job asking a question and then answering it.
Heres 2 more:
-You cant be a cocky asshole and not be jacked.
-Girls let you do a lot more when youre attractive. lmfao joking (Half-joking)
I’ve been asked this question may times.
At first it was simple: To get more pussy (the kind of pussy I wanted)
Now it has grown into a reason I can no longer explain to anyone who doesn’t lift.
I could write a 10 page essay on why I lift, but it no longer matters.
I lift because that’s what I do and I love it.
Its the same reason people buy a Ferrari, cause they wanna drive the best car on the road.
You can’t walk around in the house you own or the car you drive, but I can walk around in this body!
One of the only times in my life when my mind is fully focused is when I’m in preparing or in the middle of a set. Even between sets, my eyes, ears and mind wander. But once I’m immersed, it’s like my entire body is together in unison.
Another reason is that I can’t usually just “fall alseep”. I typically need to pass out. Tiring myself out from working out does that.
I do it because it is an extremely direct, no bullshit, goal oriented activity to pursue. Pretty much, you either can do it, or you can’t, and if you can’t, you keep working until you can. It is a good way to help put other things in your life into perspective. I do it solely for myself. There will always be someone who is ‘better’ than you, but if you work strictly for yourself, that person will always be you.
I feel no sense of satisfaction in the things I do, only in reflecting onthe things I achieve. Weightlifting gives me tangible, observable results I can logically appreciate. It’s not healthy but the results are.
That and I like to know that at any given time I can bend my body to my will regardless of how sick, or tired or disinterested I may feel.

There are days when I feel like I have no control over anything. Like everything is in complete chaos and im by myself. But when I pick up that piece of iron and press the coldness against my soft skin, when my veins fill with acid and and my body feels like a furnace then I know that im a master to my body.
-'Cause i’m an asshole with a big mouth, I need to be able to back it up.
-Burns my useless engergy.
-the satisfaction of improving myself.
-To look good & get some ass.
-It’s just enjoyable.
seriously, working out is better than weed, coke, shrooms, and almost as good as cid but leaves you far more normal. squatting any decently heavy weight leaves you hallucagenic, and a good pump just makes the rest of the day more fun
-I am super competitive, and there is no tougher competition than the one you have with yourself
-I love it and i find it fun
-It’s what i do
-I love that feeling of peace i get after giving everything i have during my workout
-I like to lift heavy shit
-I like that invincible unbreakable animal feeling i get when i am super motivated
-I like the strategy involved, reason behind why you do an exercise a certain way
-It allows me to eat more within reason
-I like the mental part of weight lifting as well
My study is nutrition, and weight-lifting gives me a relatively clear window of whether I can utilize what I learned in my study to achieve goals (As a tangibility of sorts for my science)
Power is euphoric
Was an obese child, and the changes in both mood and function when I became lighter and stronger is something I don’t want to lose. Until you were ground-bound for years of your life, you will never understand how amazingly fun it is to merely jump up onto a counter.
