I’m more of a Rudy fan myself. Seen him speak at a seminar I attended this year. A socialy liberal, fiscally conservative, take no shit Republican.
I truly hope he makes a run for it.

Being a firefighter you should do a little more research on what the NYFD actually think of Giuliani. There is A LOT of anger there – Giuliani is definitely a continuation of the Bush/Cheney clan.
NYC firefighters fight City Hall and win
NEW YORK - Amidst the burning rubble of the World Trade Center, firefighters continue to extinguish the two-month-old fires and search for the remains of thousands still buried there. Just as it should be.
The administration of Mayor Rudy Giuliani tried to put a stop to the search for human remains and speed the process of clearing out the 16-acre site by turning it into a “scoop and dump” operation.
Without consultation with the unions representing firefighters working at Ground Zero, Giuliani announced cuts in staffing, citing safety concerns. But the mayor met his match and lost. After a Nov. 2 demonstration of 1,000 firefighters and mourning families to stop the unilateral cuts and continue a dignified recovery of the victims, a scuffle broke out between the marchers and the police. Twelve firefighters were arrested.
Over a five-day period seven more were rounded up, including the presidents and other officers of the Uniformed Firefighters Association (UFA) and Uniformed Fire Officers Association (UFOA).
The last time a union leader was arrested in New York City was in 1966 when Mike Quill, Transport Workers Union president, called a transit strike in defiance of the state’s anti-labor Taylor Law.
Many firefighters and labor leaders were outraged by the “McCarthyite” tactics of the Giuliani administration. Others likened it to the tactics of fascist dictatorships. The firefighters had urged the city to make good on its promise to recover the remains of all the victims. Families flooded union offices with angry phone calls, but the administration refused to budge. The union leadership told the administration they had no choice but to march with their members and grieving families.

Contradicting Other Evidence,
Giuliani Says Firefighters Heard Order to Evacuate
For all the power of his voice and stature, however, Mr. Giuliani’s account must compete with a substantial and diverse body of evidence that flatly contradicts much of what he and his aides say happened that day, particularly on matters that could be seen as reflecting on the performance of his administration.
On perhaps the most painful of these, the loss of at least 121 firefighters in the north tower, Mr. Giuliani suggested that they stayed inside the trade center because they were busy rescuing civilians – never mentioning that they could not hear warnings from police helicopters, that many of them never learned the south tower had collapsed or that they were having serious problems staying in touch with their own commanders.
Witnesses who escaped from the tower tell a vastly different story than Mr. Giuliani.

Health Effects and Misinformation Drive 9/11 Suit
Leaseholders of the World Trader Center now face a suit from recovery workers, after hundreds of thousands of people were exposed to toxics immediately after the 9/11 attacks. This comes at the same time that a report reveals the government has not monitored or studied people suffering adverse health effects from 9/11.
Fourteen plaintiffs, including police officers, firefighters, transit workers, and other rescue workers filed the lawsuit Sept. 10. The law firm handling the case said more than 800 other plaintiffs are participating and that number could increase. The plaintiffs claim workers were not advised of the health risks in lower Manhattan, and proper precautions were not taken by the leaseholders of the trade towers. According to the law firm, additional actions will be taken against local governments in New York and New Jersey, as well as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The General Accountability Office (GAO) released a report on Sept. 8 regarding the health effects from the aftermath of 9/11. It found that up to 400,000 New Yorkers breathed some of the most toxic air ever recorded. According to the report, “Almost all the firefighters who responded to the attack experienced respiratory harm, and hundreds had to end their firefighting careers due to WTC-related respiratory illness.”
Blame Rudy for ills
Fire union: Sick leave linked to 9/11 fallout
The firefighters union blamed its skyrocketing sick leave yesterday on former Mayor Rudy Giuliani - charging he and his fire commissioner “knowingly” sent firefighters into Ground Zero without proper safety equipment.
Welcome to Denmark Mr. Giuliani
But since when do you care about firefighters
