I actually agree Lebron is a good role model overall. Heās just a basketball player but heās fairly humble about it, he gives back to his community in many ways to include major support for foundational education et cetera, but he likely couldnāt coherently explain socio-economic drivers or policy outside of knee-jerk comments he parrots.

The question is why do black people value those things and not education and a possible reason is a lack of belief that they can be successful outside of sports or entertainment. I had students who would tell me that college is for the white kids. A good number thought college was not an option.
