Yeah! Oh-kay…
That’s right. Every government is the same! What a clever way to remove the possibility of reasoned discourse on the subject. The US and Iranian governments are equal. Case closed.
So silly. Agreed.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) traces Iran’s nuclear arms ambitions as far back as 1984, when current supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei [said] “a nuclear arsenal would serve Iran as a deterrent in the hands of God’s soldiers”
From an Iranian school book quoting the Ayatollah Khomeini - “I am decisively announcing to the whole world that if the world-devourers [the infidel powers] wish to stand against our religion, we will stand against the whole world and will not cease until the annihilation of all of them. Either we all become free, or we will go to the greater freedom, which is martyrdom. Either we shake one anotherâ??s hands in joy at the victory of Islam in the world, or all of us will turn to eternal life and martyrdom. In both cases, victory and success are ours.”
Nothing to worry about there…“Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, believes the most important task of the Iranian Revolution was to prepare the way for the return of the Twelfth Imam, who disappeared in 874, thus bringing an end to Muhammad’s lineage. Shiites believe this imam, the Mahdi or “divinely guided one,” will return in an apocalyptic battle in which the forces of righteousness will defeat the forces of evil…”
Nor there. A perfectly rational foreign policy for sure.

You mean the Japanese who are now amongst the US’s closest allies and live under the protection of the US military?
OK so I asked for evidence Iran is building a nuclear weapons program. All I got was a bunch of irrelevant answers, no one provided evidence nesccesary to prove what they claim.
Does anyone else remember another war where the other side supposedly had weapons of mass destruction and then they didn’t.
When people ignore history and ignore evidence a lot of people die. Lets smarten up guys.

And this matters because? The US also raped and massacred many, many people in the Philippines, now it is supposedly an Allie. Imperialism is morally flexible like that.

Ah, no that was the Japanese you kook. And it was so long ago and their society has changed so much that it no longer has relevance. Good grief you’re an idiot.

Kareem is undoubtedly referring to the Philippine insurrection at the beginning of the 20th century, where the American Expeditionary Force’s rules of engagement were pretty much “kill everyone over ten years of age.”
We burned, raped, pillaged and destroyed. But they were brown people, in the way of our legitimate business interests, and probably Mooslums to boot, so it was all justified.
And besides, it was so long ago, and American society has changed so much, it probably no longer has relevance.
And in any event, the Philippine Insurrection was directly responsible for the development of the Colt .45 automatic pistol, Model of 1911.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is worth any price.

Oh that’s right. A guerrilla insurgency nearly 120 years ago. Righto. America = Nazi Germany. Gotcha.

Not sure where Nazi Germany enters into the discussion, but you seemed to be questioning Kareem’s assertion that the United States behaved badly in the Philippines, and so I brought up the campaign that he was probably referring to.

As long as you admit that North Korea has not or is not building a bomb, they are attempting to build nuclear energy to bring their living standards up.

You’re wrong, Push…
