I think when Obama talked about “change”, they had no idea it would be like this. I think people expected to see more of what the people wanted.
When you see huge bailouts (which were first voted down and done in a backroom deal), cash for suckers, healthcare, and so many things people were clearly against, then people went into an uproar. So this is, yet again, a president who is bullshitting the issues. This country is in a financial mess, and that should be his #1 priority. When money stops moving, everything stops moving. He is also not using what most of us would call common sense. When money is tight, you need to be responsible with your spending until the situation gets better, and throwing around money that is not even printed yet like he is, is just pissing people off. He knows he has an unlimited resource (taxpayers), and can squeeze more out of us when he needs it.
Huh…I’m so glad you guys are here to explain why I dislike Obama. I could of sworn it was due to the fact that he has spent more money, than all of our other presidents combined, within the first couple months of coming into power. Stupid me! I guess deep down I just hate them half darkies half crackers. Damn Oreos ruining this country!

IMO the racism is there. It’s not nearly as widespread as some people would have you believe, but it’s there.
The major cause is sour grapes. Boohoo the Republicans lost after 8 years, boohoo change.[/quote]
I wonder if racism was prevalent during the election, when Obama won by about 7 million votes?
Here’s what happened, he promised change and the majority of people (of all colors) believed him. He then took office and the sort of change that he is attempting to deliver is not what the majority of people want.
Now, of those places in WY and MT you speak of…what is the variance of diversity that you have witnessed there?
Just curious.
If there is little to no opportunity for racism, there would be practically no racism. Right?
Bingo. I live in probably the most diverse county in Wyoming, home to the state capitol and an Air Force base, and the black population here runs less than 4%, probably closer to 1%. There are places in Wyoming and Montana (and Utah and Idaho and Nevada) where you could spend most of your life without ever seeing a black person except on tv or on a trip to the big city. I know several ranchers who moved here from Alabama and Mississippi specifically for that reason.
We do have a much larger Spanish population, though, and the prejudice is very real.
The insinuation here is that because black populations are low racism must be the culprit in the mountain and intermountain West. Bullshit. Tme, if that is what you intended, then you are some kind of ignorant transplant to this part of the country and you toted a bunch of preconceived notions right next to the chip on your shoulder when you showed up here.

That’s not what I said at all, pushy. But it is a partial explanation, along with many other factors. Would you be comfortable moving your wife and young children to a part of the country where you actually stood out because of your skin color, there were very few people around that you had much in common with, and not most but at least some of the people you met were openly hostile? Me either. You can deny that racism is a factor if you want, but I think you know better.

No one should hate Obama. He doesn’t have the power to do much of anything.
It’s like hating a puppet who doesn’t know he has a hand up his ass.
You should really feel sorry for him.
I’ve had pangs of feelings like this.
I’ve considered that the DNC saw him as a perfect pawn, no experience in Washington, not familiar with the inner workings of our system, a naive idealist, etc.
Even when given the benefit of the doubt, he still looks like a piss poor choice.

The DNC?
The Federal Reserve has the last word on everything the congress or president propose.
You think Obama would survive a month in office if he actively spoke out against the FED.
