Why Does Everyone Hate Obama?
jawara wrote:

The system we have is so fucking perfect that any attempt to fix it is “destroying” it? Give me a fucking break, even you can’t be that fucking stupid.

Provide some example of this, any example, any quote from Obama regarding your ability to defend yourself. Anything.

Bush’s plans to increase it via massive unfunded tax cuts and two wars don’t factor in for shit. It’s all about Obama’s stimulus spending, dood.

It’s been a year now. Can we get past the shady campaign smears now?

OMG!!!11!!!1!! LOLZ!!!11!!!1! Obama supports our current systems as they is!!1!

Call it socialist all you want, but our current system is based on redistribution. It taxes us, it gives to them. It is what it is. For all I know, you’re one of “them”. Are you a net payer, or a net receiver? If you’re military, then in all likelihood you’re a net receiver from a tax receipt standpoint. I want my money back.

No, you didn’t really make any point at all. Insert coins now to play again.

You have posted that before, I thought. Are you indeed well traveled in the USA? You’ve personally observed this so called racism of which you speak? If all of this is true you have my sincere apologies.

However, in your wildest dreams you have never traveled this country as I have - there are virtually few counties in the United States that I have not been in (outside of a few New England states) and I surely couldn’t make as bold a statement as you have.

I have been in the USA, maybe not to the extent you have.

And yes, I have seen racism in your country and so have my relatives living there (apparently Hindu Sri Lankans look like Arab Muslims post 9/11). That’s not to say America isn’t a fucking great country - but let’s not pretend it’s like a new Eden.

And when it comes down to it, there are undesirable elements in support of the republicans, just like there are with democrats.

Do you suppose there is a single country on this earth that does not some trace of racism? Or is the U.S. uniquely evil in this regard?

Does the Maori in NZ enjoy a life completely free of racism? Or south Pacific islanders who have emigrated to NZ? Is NZ the model that Americans should look to?
I don’t think he’s ever made that claim.

But for you to claim that racism doesn’t exist to the extent that is does here is just an outright lie, and especially so in the part of the country we live in.

The US has far less racism than most countries I have visited. Yes there is racism and certain areas tend to have more racism than others and hopefully this will change but the general level of racism is relatively low.

Come one people. He won the Nobel Peace prize. That must mean he is awesome.

I agree with you that our healthcare system has flaws, one of them is that certain health insurance companies can only operate in certain states. This cause less compotion which in turn cause prices to go up and service to go down.

This is because there is too much government involvement not because we don’t have enough. Walther Reed was a major disaster, is that how you want all our hospitals to run? More government is only going to make things worse.

Barry is anti gun. I have no intentions of defending myself against a drug addict or gang member(s) with just my hands, plus how is my wife supposed to be able to protect herself while I’m gone against the same type of criminals without a firearm?Obama's Anti-gun Record

I’ve never praised Bush’s economic policies. BO’s are even worse.

Acorn got busted AGAIN what, a month ago? It’s not a smear if it’s true. BO’s connection to Acorn is well known.

Why do we have so much redistrobution of wealth in our “current system”. Is that what our forefathers fought for, a big nanny state? I doubt that. If you want to give your earnings away you should be free to not FORCED to with oppressive taxes.

Rich people don’t owe poor people anything and there’s no reason why they should pay upwards of 40% of their income in taxes for people who wait for a handout, and yes I am military and I pay property tax, federal income tax,f.ic.a. tax, social security, medicare, gas tax, telecommunications tax, wheel tax, alcohol tax, and ammuntion tax.

I also have to pay for my families healthcare through a company called Tricare. My income does come from the government but I actually have to EARN it. Are you in college? If so I want my money back since since my tax dollars went towards your education.

If he didn’t waltz around as some self proclaimed authority on the US based on having some relatives here and watching syndicated American TV shows I wouldn’t be so hard on him.
Oh I forgot to add. The point is that guys like you throw the race card asp when some one says they don’t like Obama. Personally I think most of the people that don’t like him dont like him because of his policies not race. If this country was so racist how did we wind up with a black president in the first place?

So you think that the proposed health care bills actually fix anything? All I saw were more taxes and lower quality services. Even Robert Reich says that’s whats going to happen:

Fair.

Now, of those places in WY and MT you speak of…what is the variance of diversity that you have witnessed there?

Just curious.

If there is little to no opportunity for racism, there would be practically no racism. Right?

No one should hate Obama. He doesn’t have the power to do much of anything.
It’s like hating a puppet who doesn’t know he has a hand up his ass.
You should really feel sorry for him.

Bingo. I live in probably the most diverse county in Wyoming, home to the state capitol and an Air Force base, and the black population here runs less than 4%, probably closer to 1%. There are places in Wyoming and Montana (and Utah and Idaho and Nevada) where you could spend most of your life without ever seeing a black person except on tv or on a trip to the big city. I know several ranchers who moved here from Alabama and Mississippi specifically for that reason.

We do have a much larger Spanish population, though, and the prejudice is very real.

I’ve had pangs of feelings like this.

I’ve considered that the DNC saw him as a perfect pawn, no experience in Washington, not familiar with the inner workings of our system, a naive idealist, etc.

Even when given the benefit of the doubt, he still looks like a piss poor choice.

It doesn’t matter if there’s racism; he’s a dumbass

Now now, come on you bunch of racists.

He’s our first black president! This is historical! His politics have nothing to do with him being president!

Regardless obama being black has nothing to do with this topic. Obama is a socialist and his track record through his years on earth doesnt in my eyes make him qualified to run MY country. I dont think in his head he wakes up in the morning and says “i wanna destroy america” but his action are what is breaking this country down. Someone mentioned Carter earlier… well hope Barack Hussein Obama only gets one term because we’re in for a world of change alright, alot worse then we all though during the presidential race.

Of coarse they won’t answer that one…because it was also racisim that helped put him in office too!

Right, we should just let him be and do whatever he wants because he won…
