Why Deadlift?

The deadlift makes you look manly. Plus, it hits muscles that aren’t supposed to be hit, which makes your physique all the more appealing!

My biggest problem is keeping my form correct on the deadlift. I can master the squat - but my back ALWAYS wants to round when I deadlift. I’ve been doing rack pulls for now, until my flexibility and low back strength catch up.

I plan on doing back extensions and strengthening my from when I cruise (after my first DC blast). My next blast should have deadlifts in it.

Deadlift is prob my fav weight exercise out of all of the ones that I do. I can literally see my whole body working. Only bad thing is if you do it wrong you can injure yourself (I know someone who threw their back out).

Thanks guys am new liftting…

Is there a link that show you the right way and wrong way of Deadlift?

Thanks again

If you look on youtube you can probably find the proper form. Just look up “deadlift” I can tell you how to do it properly but I think it’s easier if you see the proper form. Try looking at this site:

Deadlifts are god sent, my traps back forearms whole legs and butt are all sore and i feel myself getting bigger and stronger. It is the answer to all questions.

If they are eating the same then neither one will be bigger. The one deadlifting would be better off only because in this fantasy of yours you are allowing them ONE exercise. Not ony that, but you chose lat pulldowns haha. Of course! Not barbell rows, or weighted chinups. The real world doesn’t work this way.

There are just as many bodybuilders that use deadlifts for their back as there are bodybuilders that DO NOT.

Are they “pussies” because they don’t do this one exercise (even though they see better development doing other exercises for their back development)?

Is Lee Haney a “soccer mom in spandex and pink socks”?

Okay, how about this, you guys show me the back development you’ve attained through doing only deadlifts for your back and then i’ll be pretty convinced. Who wants to go first?
dood wheres your picture?

The deadlift crusaders on this site are hopeless. haha

::edit::

Let me put it this way. Name one sport where one couldn’t benefit from Bench Pressing.

Does this mean everyone needs to be bench pressing?

For some people the deadlift just doesn’t do as good a job as other exercises would.
Bench Press hinders olympic lifters. It puts to much load on my shoulders. Gives me joint pain and flexability issues. I dropped chest work when i started training for my next meet.
