What are we defining as “her area”? I’m trying to decide if I should be offended.
ALL OF CANADA. You should definitely be offended!
Do you have any idea how big this country is? I’m in the same province and she’s a three hour drive away!
Of course I know how big Canada is. If its size is meant to be a secret it’s a poorly kept one.

No, it’s only dudes that I’m attracted to.

Actually, it’s not even really that because I have been attracted to guys before, yet still not really cared at all about them or their opinions of me.
I get hung up on guys that I THINK might be interested in me. Not like they’ve given any real indications that that is the case, just feelings I get for whatever reason.
I think, hmm, I am starting to get the sense that this person may like me or be attracted to me.
I fall for them in about 20 seconds…

orion, isn’t there some ‘putting-em-on-pedestal’ type advice that could help here?

I would seriously laugh at this in real life lol.

This is about the most succinct way possible to say exactly what Stu said. And my hunch is it’s exactly right.

It is true in this context (not all obviously). It doesn’t get any easier either, so no point in waiting if you want to advance.

Hey Spock, check me out on Facebook (Brandon Lenters). Like I said before, I’d love to meet up if you’re ever in the Calgary area.

I’m pretty freakin’ good at Mario Kart.
Dude, she doesn’t even drive. Figure out something to go up there for and while you’re there grab lunch with her and see if you click. If you’re so lazy you can’t even do that, you’re not good enough for her.

I dont know.

If women are indeed hypergamous, and I believe they are, pedestalization is a normal and healthy part of female sexuality.

You may be right that she takes it too far, but who am I to say what is the right amount?

Somebody probably let it slip amidst a discussion on hockey after a few beers and some maple syrup. A smart gal like you would’ve picked up on it as it made its way through the grapevine.

Also, I just don’t like being called an idiot, haha.

This.

A three hour drive is nothing. Sheesh.

It’s a flat, straight shot on a 4 lane highway. I’ve done it a few times. An easy drive.
Not everybody has the time or money to spend a day traveling on the blind hope that this person they’ve had the bare minimum of interaction with online is a good fit for them. Well, most of a day, anyways. It’s more like a 2-2.5 hour drive one way if conditions are good, and yeah, easy drive, kind of boring though. I’m not sure I’d do it, but admittedly I can be pretty lazy.

Mr. Lenters, if she does find you on facebook, well, I hope you like scrabble. Also you and I have one facebook friend in common.

While we’re talking about driving up there, I was actually up in her neck of the woods just before new year’s. Got a hold of her to try to meet up so we could get a picture and I could start an “I met Spock!” thread, but she had to work and it didn’t pan out. And I have every reason to believe she was actually working and didn’t blow me off because she got nervous.

This x’s 100000!

Just curious, do you also go around trolling online fat chick diet logs telling them why they will fail with a smug smile? Or on anorexic/chain smoker/junkie e-boards telling them they have a psychological issue and need to get help?

Because thats basically what you’re doing in this thread. Feeling stupidly excited about a sweet natured single mother’s self-esteem issues and feeling smug since you’ve actually fucked her a few times ergo you’re vastly superior to the “white knights” telling her how awesome she is.
Sturat wrote:

Why? Tired of hearing you can’t fix your problem without doing the one thing you don’t want to do? Because I’m too busy telling you the truth to kiss your ass like so many of the guys in the thread who go on and on about how beautiful (true), funny (true on the internet), and confident (also internet true) you are? Because I think the best way to help you is to beat you over the head with the truth until you finally acknowledge it? Because I’d rather see you face the truth and hate me for it than continue to live in a fantasy that never changes but delude yourself into thinking you’re improving your situation?

Nah. . . I’m kind of enjoying this.

<3!!

Update:
I went out with my friend and talked to a guy for a while about the avenges and how I felt like it could have been a little more Avenger-y and a little less Samuel L Jackson-y. I felt that nick fury was a tad annoying.
But the animation for the hulk was super cool and mark ruffalo did a really good job.
Yes I feel the need to repeat the entire conversation.

And today I told a boy he reminded me of captain america even though when the thought entered my mind it made me blush and I was worried saying it out loud would make me blush more.
My blushing actually stayed steady.

BYE

Could that be the problem? I’m not trying to hit on you- god knows I’ve got enough problems of my own- but would it actually be better if you just went up and gave them your number surreptitiously, say tucked into a piece of gym equipment you’re letting them borrow? It worked on me.

Your blushing is an asset.

Not an asset.

Hello all.

I have decided to get my nipple pierced to build sexual confidence.

It may be years before anyone even sees it, but I’ll know it’s there and it will make me feel bad ass.

Thanks for listening.
Anything, ANYTHING BUT to put yourself out there and risk rejection, eh?
This dumb **** thinks a haircut, new color, maybe a nipple piercing is somehow away the laws of attraction in her favor. The real issue isn’t her looks, it is how broken on the inside this girl is. Anybody can read past the surface that there is a desperately sad and needy, perhaps unstable girl in there the minute she starts talking. If she cannot get past hello and her default topic of conversation; teenage comic book fantasy worlds. How is any grown man going to truly have interest in someone so juvenile that is in denial about being a grown up Woman?
I still think she presents more warning signs in real life than the cute quirky single mom she presents online.
