Must…get…photo op with Dr. McCoy…

If you can’t bring yourself to wear skirts and sundresses more, then just a couple of things. This girl is about 5’2" 118 pounds. This outfit might be more your speed. Oh, looking for cropped ankle length pants is also a trick. You mentioned that you often roll your pants a little. I do that too sometimes, because I’ll leave pants long if I want to be able to wear them with heels.

Just notice fit. NOTHING is baggy or oversized. And the sweater comes just below her waist. Anything that hangs down past your booty will visually cut your legs off and make you look shorter. Also, anything really full - will make you look short, and like you’re swimming in it. You’d buy these to fit your quads, then have the waist and rise altered as needed. It’s worth the $15 bucks to have them fit right. Same goes for jeans. It’s a lot easier now that most women’s denim has some stretch/ Spandex in the fabric.
Um, yup. I think I have every single thing in this outfit, except that while I have the sweater in that color I don’t have pants that color. That’s a cut I wear all the time, though, paired similarly. (Thin pink sweater w/fitted green pants rolled up, flats.)
Great minds think alike!

I like the little floral skirt you put up, Em.

Spock - I wear almost entirely solids but if I do a pattern it’s very small, like Em’s. Think proportion. A huge plaid or huge floral will usually not be as flattering on a small woman - overwhelms and looks like a table cloth.

Also, Emily can get away with a bit bigger sweater on top because she’s tall. I usually shoot for something with a fit like this, or even tighter where it skims along or pulls in snug along my ribs and waist, which emphasizes my smallest measurement. Notice arm holes aren’t huge either. Baggy is no bueno. It would be even better with a deep v neck.

Also, I almost always wear a dark or black jean, or dark pant.

Monochromatic like Emily’s black outfit will make you look taller, little black dress, but if you’re going to do a bright or a light color put it near your face. I have white jeans, but my black ones are much more flattering.

The only reason I’ve been to Edmonton in the past 10 or so years, was for a concert… and to laugh at your ski hill.
:open_mouth: what concert! ?
I wish I could say, but if I did, I’m scared it would instantly ruin any chance of gaining a reputation I might have on this site. Let’s just say it was me, my friends, and like 12,000 screaming 14-year old girls with braces.

It was Justin Timberlake.

Fit -
It doesn’t have to be tight like - I can’t button it tight - but this is something worth investing in. Basic white blouse. Buy it to fit your shoulders and back, and then have a tailor take it in so there’s NO excess fabric through your ribs and waist. Like I said, I have a more tailored style, but there’s nothing like a really well fitted white blouse. Sexy.

Great fit in a blouse. Notice the sleeve seams aren’t hanging way down below her shoulder, and the close fit through the ribs and waist. The pattern is small - perfect size for you. If you find something you love, have it tailored so it fits right. It makes all the difference.

Even at my height (5’6.5") I don’t love white jeans unless rolled up with something fun/casual on top, and the point being sexy/cool, not work.

I also wear more fitted tops than baggy. In the pic above I was concerned about managing weather vs. potentially hot venues. But it depends on what the look is that I’m going for. If I wear a nice fitted top with a skirt that short I’m making a definite statement. Which of course has its place. Which is why clothes are the delight they are.

P.S. I have the beige sweater, too. lol

I like nicely worn jeans, though. But mine is a casual world.

Please continue with your virtual dress up of Spock, Puff!

OMgomogmgmog

So at work there’s this really good looking boy who signs the weight lifting duotang. Duo-tang.

And I always classified him as TFHFM
Too Fucking Hot For Me.
But when he signed in I think I got this like nice little semi-smile thing.
Then later I went pee and thought I should masturbate to this person for a nice change. Like cause usually I don’t masturbate to someone until like 6 months into our non-existent relationship.
SO then I was like :O! JENN!!
You are attracted to a REAL person other than bald guy for the first time since last april!!

Then when he signed out he ASKED ME A QUESTION ABOUT MAIL.
Like, he wasn’t even sure how to do the mail thing.
He said he’s not from alberta
so i was like
“oh so they don’t have mail where you come from?”
he semi laughed
so then I told him to go to shoppers drug mart
And he asked where one was and I said I didn’t know

But ya…

Um
BYE

If you make it down I do hope you don’t wind up hiding in your hotel room and masturbating the entire time, haha.

Things that the world is okay with when said by a girl but would be totally creepy coming from a guy #7439

Spock:

I am going to tell you the secret of having a relationship with this guy. Or any guy, for that matter. Oddly enough, it’s a secret found in the Talmud that has been borne out in psychological testing, including the “how boys think” book referenced by PowerPuff.

Here is the logic underlying the secret:

 1. Men want to be respected above all. More important to a man to be respected, even feared, than loved.

 2. Girls want to be desired above all.

An important aspect of No. 1 is a man’s fear of approach, in that a rejection is a blow to respect.

Here is the secret:

Give the man an approach angle where his fear of rejection is minimized and you show him respect. You will most likely become an object of his desire, in that being respected is his desire.

Here is how to play this in your situation:

He comes in to the gym. You say, “Hey _____. I have noticed you squatting. You have really good form and are very impressive. I really respect guys who hit legs hard like that, it shows character.”

He will respond positively. May ask you for coffee in a day or so.

Or, follow up with: “I have problems with coming out of the box at the bottom of the squat because my left knee caves in (or whatever). Can you help me with that sometime?”

The rest is up to you.

I like this idea. I think we should all come up with some similar lines Spock can use next time she sees this guy.

“Hey _____. I have noticed you have eyebrows. I really respect guys who have eyebrows, it shows character.”

“Hey _____. I have noticed you haven’t murdered anyone at the gym. I really respect guys who obey the law, it shows character.”

“Hey _____. I have noticed you have character. I really respect guys who have character, it shows character.”

Seriously, JB just offered some great advice!

OMG that all sounds wonderful!!!

I had a dream last night that he was wearing a strange uniform and I thought it was for a private school, but it turned out the uniform was for an eating contest…

That’s what I was going to tell him next time I saw him. You way sounds slightly more normal.
BUT I did think he would be flattered that I had a dream about him, heh.

I just wish I could talk normal though, it all sounds good on paper (computer screen), but I get very blushy and flustered and my words don’t come out smooth at all.
