Even as a girl, I wrestle with the same questions. Size or strength???
I started lifting with a trainer who was big as a house, and focused on strength, and he taught me his Marine mentality.
Heavier and heavier is a good way to measure progress. It’s much harder to determine size improvements.
So, I’m a schizo person! Most of the time focused on pure strength, and yet learning to think more in the lines of bodybuilding and hypertrophy.
I feel that as long as I continue to improve I’m doing OK. I always want to be just a little bit leaner, bigger, faster, stronger, and more flexible!
Is that too much to ask??
