Who'd Like to Train Me?

You guys should read MegaNewb’s log before you backlash him. That kid works fucking hard and lifts more than I would say 90% of the people in here (and that’s only because I don’t know everyone), and he ABSOLUTELY lifts more at his age than any of you did.

I agree with him – you can’t just ask for free help and be some guinea pig and not even put in 1 iota of effort into explaining your background. Join the Physique Clinic round 2! Or do what many have done and create a Training Log…post your results and be your own PT.

you want someone to help you?

Go make a training log, get a camera, get pictures of your self, tell us your average calorie per day, your nutrient break down, your maxes in all lifts, your average training schedule, do you do cardio? how much?

Take video’s of your squats, if you dont miss the last rep and your set of 10 working set on squats, and the set didnt last a minimum of 5 minutes then go fuck your self.

If theres even a slight indication that you stopped early in your video’s of your max set go fuck your self.

If you question anything, go fuck your self.

If you shy away from hard exercises or high reps, go fuck your self.

If you ever make an excuse to miss a workout other than someone dying, go fuck your self.

If you ever cut a workout short because you did something else that youd rather do, so you didnt have time to lift, go fuck your self.

When you ask others to invest time in you, you have to work twice as hard. Because your not just wasting your time, your wasting theres.

The fact that you didnt even think to write down your stats, and then when you did you gave that vague information, just screams lazy.

You probably think that some trainer will just train all your fat away, you wont have to work that hard, and when ever you get your abbs youl just maintain with cardio. Shit, I mean why do the research on your own, that shits hard. Get some one else to invest their time in you because your to lazy to do the work for your self. If your to lazy to look this shit up on your own and not know what to do your self, then your far to lazy or simple minded to train as hard as the person investing time in you deserves.

Like I said earlier, up until this moment your a bitch. You do the things I said, post pictures, video tape your heavy exercise to make sure your trying as hard as possible. Dont make excuses, follow a strict diet, take progress pictures, record all workouts in your log. And in 10-12 weeks when you made crazy gains, you will no longer be a bitch. Untill then your just another lazy SOB who wants to benefit off others hard work but not work that hard.

If anyone accepts this guy and is willing to invest their time to give him some awesome gains, put him through hell in every workout, and have him video tape his hardest sets, if he isnt doing everything you say and training until near death dont even invest your time.

And guy, if you make any kind of excuse why you cant get a camera, or internet access, or find time to post progress pictures and document all your workouts… Then you arent worth anyones time. Much less their time when they aren’t getting payed.

this was constructive criticism, if you find anything negative in this that makes you cross your legs to hide your vagina then you definitely arent worth anyones time.

I may be being hard on you, but wasting someones time (10 weeks of train) by not trying your absolute hardest and doing everything that person says (you asked for their help after all) is far more rude than anything I could write to you on this forum.
You’ve just been MEGA POSTED!

nomination for T-Nation rant of the year?

suprised you lasted the first 5 replies without getting flamed.
Agree that this is a lazy attitude, just pick a tested program on this site and stick to it for the prescribed time

There is nothing wrong with this guy wanting coaching. If there was something wrong with this, personal trainers and nutritionists would be dead broke. Come to think of it, ALL coaches (business, career, weight loss, bodybuilding, sports) would be screwed!

I don’t see how this guy is lazy. He wants guidance - a coach! And if he is, so be it. Thank goodness we have lazy people out there. They comprise the whole population that needs a damn coach!

1,200 is not too much in my view. That’s 100 bucks per week. Well, perhaps that is too much of a frequency of service. I think every two to four weeks of constulation would be needed now that I think about it more seriously.

Significant results would not happen in two weeks unless very restrictive measures were taken.

While I agree there is nothing wrong with him seeking help, he is wanting it done pro bono.

All of the professions you mentioned get compensated for their time and expertise and would likely laugh the guy out of their office coming to them with the same proposal(except special cases).

Yes, exactly.

That’s where I think the problem is too; wanting it free.

You’re missing the point bro. I wasn’t asking for Charles Poliquin or Thib to train me pro bono. I thought it might be beneficial to an aspiring trainer to showcase his or hers ability on a popular website and hopefully in turn gain them more clientele. Please tell me how that is lazy or how I’m a cheap basterd?

But anyways, I found someone to do it so all you haters can quit with the shit talking. If there’s any others out there who feel they would want to compete in a 3 month transformation challenge let me know.

Especially you haters, I’m willing to step up with my jelly belly and flap, so screw the haters.

what exactly are your goals? what would the competition be?
are you free to tell who you are getting trained by and is this person training your competition as well?

No, I’m not saying who the trainer will be. Enough ridicule, it’d just add more.

My goals are just to drop as much bodyfat as possible while lifting heaving and sound, having a solid nutrition and supplementation plan and see where the 3 months takes me.

Not sure what the competition would be…Doubt anyone will volunteer to do it so it’s basically just a personal challenge I speculate.

I didn’t say you were lazy or a cheap bastard so that’s not even part of this disucssion.

How much open advertising of trainers(non authors) do you see on this board?

Do you think that perhaps when your trainer goes to link his email/website after this transformation that the mods aren’t going to see that as blatant advertisement that T-Nation isn’t getting paid for?

You said haters 3 times in one paragraph, how old are you?.. do us a favor and post your results in 12 weeks and don’t blame 1 iota on the guy who very graciously decided to help you out when he should be paid 500+ dollars if you fall short of expectations.

If you don’t post the pictures and give him as much praise as the mods allowed then you will be a lazy cheap bastard who wanted a free handout. I’ll bump this for you in 12 weeks just in case you forget.

I want to be impressed with your progress, this isn’t me “hating” on you… it’s time for someone who says they are going to do something to actually do it. Post up your before picture now to keep yourself more accountable.

I was not trying to ridicule. I was just wondering for the simple reason of the “competition.”

the reason i asked for your goals is because if we had the same goals I might have “competed” with you. sadly i do not…

not everyone here is always looking to flame someone…

while I am not a regular at posting on this site I have been lurking for a very long time. there is always alot of animosity towards “newbie’s” here. While that is the case there is many people here that are on here to spread knowledge and to learn more themselves.

Everyone seems to think that their opinion of what this forum is is the be-all end-all. I use it primarily as a knowledge base, while someone else might use it as place to take out their aggressions.

I having been “flamed” myself have learned to take the bad with the good, as I believe there is way more good than bad on this site!

Good luck with your goals. I hope you achieve them!

stay strong!

Alright, now I’m fucking pissed, and that takes quite a bit. While you did not specifically mention me as one of your so called ‘haterz’, which are more like people calling it as they see it, I’m taking personal offense to this for these reasons.

#1 I was actually going to email you to help you to begin with, and made the post I did because, before emailing you I wanted to go through your post history and see what kind of human being you were. I’m sorry to say you are making me glad I didn’t bother.

#2 You didn’t just ask for aspiring trainers. You asked for ‘personal trainers or aspiring personal trainers’, the former being what I’m concentrating on. For the record, I also belong to that group, having two national certifications through very good, reputable companies and having had a lot of clients who made tremendous progress and got wonderful results.

“It’s not like I asked Poloquin or Thibs to train me pro bono.” So just because the trainer hasn’t had the exposure and connections those gentlemen have (taking absolutely nothing away from their work- they are both fantastic) that means they are lesser to you and you don’t feel a need to pay them? The reason I went through your posts to see what you were like was this sentence- “you of course would do this pro bono”. Oh, of course, huh? As if someone owes you a fucking handout?! I wish I felt entitlement to others’ hard work and knowledge like that.

#3 You sat right there, after I fucking called you out on how long you had been a member of this website and the fact that you own books from Waterbury, etc, and you sat there going, “You’re right bro. That was such a wakeup call. I can do this on my own man! Thanks!” and now that someone who obviously hasn’t read between the lines here and caught on to what a bullshitter you arehas said they will do it, you’re on here going " Found someone to do it so fuck all you haterz! NANANANANA BOOBOO!" Classy thing to do, and also shows how full of shit you were about how you were going to do it on your own.

And, #4 I have a real hard time believing you’re going to listen to a fucking thing a trainer who you obviously, through your postings and words, value less than others, especially when you’re getting the info for free, says, when you won’t even follow programs you paid for from a T-Nation coach in a book like Muscle Revolution.

Sorry pal, but you fail. You have proven yourself to be a douche. I’m glad I didn’t waste my fucking time, cuz it wouldn’t have made a difference, and judging by YOUR attitude and the things you’ve said, you obviously do not deserve it.

Scott M- It’s posts like this that make the time I spend in The Doggpound and away from here pretty easy for me, lol.
Bricknyce wrote:

But how much would you charge to train me?
(all together now…one MEELEION dollars)

Oh, yeah I wanna be 270, but cut.

I know it’s been almost a month since my last post on this matter, but I’m starting the transformation tomorrow. Waited so long due to some personal matters(son got sick, new work schedule) Anyways, I wanted to give this transformation my all. Scott M said to post before pics so here they are. As you can see, a long ways to go.

5’10", 230lbs

BF%, like it matters, at least 20%. End goal is 10-12%.

I decided to do this venture without a personal trainer. All I’m doing is using the information I’ve attained reading this and other websites. I just realized I didn’t do a side photo. I will probably add one tomorrow, along with a newspaper shot so no one thinks this was backdated or anything like that. So my start date is Oct 31 and will end on January 31st with photos added on here by Feb 1st with another newpaper shot as verification.

I realize anyone reading this has no way of knowing for sure so I’m strictly on the honor system. With that said, I won’t be using any AAS(never have if you couldn’t tell haha) IGF-1, diuretics or anything else I could get at a Mexican pharmacy.

My compound lifts are pretty weak. I will post final videos of my compound lifts as motivation for myself as well.

here’s current 3 rep max for each lift

Deadlift- 235lb

Squat- 210lb

Bench 205lb

Here are 3 month goals

Deadlift- 315lb

Squat- 275lb

Bench- 235lb
