Excuse me while I go cry in the corner, watching the country I love so much fall so deep into a rotting, fat dripping hole.
They. Are. Pathetic.
Its all this “self-acceptance” bullshit. We worry so much about anorexia, we make kids FAT. We tell them its “ok”.
Its not fucking “ok”! Anyone who can’t see that being morbidly obese is BAD is a MORON. Thats why the word MORBIDLY is used.
Don’t “accept your self”. We say this, and people get up in arms over the “phycological damage” it might cause us teens fragile little minds.
Hmmm… I don’t know… maybe we should teach that ALL forms of extremism are just plain stupid? You shouldn’t accept yourself being something you don’t wanna be, but you shouldn’t go to an extreme to change it. How hard is that? Are we really such a pathetic people that we don’t have the self control necessary? Or the patience?
seconded. my other tab in firefox is open to that right now. the message boards they’ve managed to uncover thus far have been unreal - there was one three weeks ago from a board of guys seeking to become HIV postive and who had this whole online community dedicated to ‘pozzing’ people or getting ‘pozzed’. Makes the whole obesity thing seem kinda banal by comparison. Note i said kinda.

If that is real then that is the sickest shit I have ever seen

Sadly, it is real. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard of a small subset of the gay community who purposefully seeking to become HIV positive. I cannot even imagine what it takes for someone to get to the mindset that this should be OK. I know there are some amazing HIV drug cocktails available today to help out people, but it’s like people think they are bulletproof.
Disgusting. Far from the worst that Something Awful has dug up for the Weekend Web, though. There was one fetish message board they found about adults crapping in diapers. The worst one was a pedophilia board, Boy Love or something, that I believe got shut down because of the efforts of Something Awful posters trolling the site. The internet is a scary place because it allows these freaks to find a form of acceptance amongst their peers.

Probably referring to that NAMBLA site. I first heard about it on South Park then on SA. If there is justifiable homicide in the world, it was meant for some of these people.

even worse than this is if you read some of the posts on the site there’s a whole subgroup of these fucks who are trying to make HIV and AIDS more resilient to the retrovirals by taking the drugs improperly. Absolutley reprehensible. When the site appeared on the SA message boards there was this tide of indignation and widespread contact of the media and law enforcement trying to get it shut down.

If only that were true. Unfortunately, obesity is not only an American phenomenon. In fact, Samoa leads the world in adult obesity, putting the U.S. to shame with about 45% of men and 60% of women as obese. Granted, the U.S. leads in developed countries, but the rest of the world is catching up. I guess everyone hates us but secretly wants to be like us.
I checked out this thread because I’m a sucker for sensationalism. I had no idea that this sort of condition was this pervasive. So I went to Pub Med to investigate.
There are over 4,500 recent publications on morbid obesity and mental illness, with a specific association with mood disorders and anxiety. Sub-group analysis found this association up to 3 times greater in obese women. It’s a type of control issue with them, which becomes autoerotic as their weight increases. The ability to control another person by “making” them obese also gives them their jollies.
Trying to clean the vomit chunks off my keyboard with Dust-Off doesn’t work.

That is beyond repulsive. Some chick hooks up and somehow causes her new spouse to gain an extra 50lbs of pure blubber over the course of months and this has taken the form of some kind of obesity S&M.
“I baked you a cake today, troll! Shove that pastry faster, damn it! You get none of my pie until you eat three of these!!!”
Um,how did these fat fucks type with those big old sausage fingers??are there special key boards with giant wide spaced keys or do the have specially trained little monkeys that do it for them?

^^That could not be more true! Haha.
Last night I saw a show on TLC called “The 750 Pound Man”. He hadn’t walked since 1999. He was finally taken to a care facility that specializes in the morbidly obese and weight loss. The doc gave him less than a year to live. Lots of enabling by the family, especially, he couldn’t walk, so someone is feeding him. The wife snuck in to him snacks, cookies, candies, chips, to eat. Quite sad actually.

I was more refering to the fact that she wants to be a model, rather than the fact she is obese
