I’m not saying its okay to come straight out and hate on fat people but I didn’t make their body that way, he/she did. Unless you have a major medical problem, which the majority don’t and claim to have, there should be no reason to be 30%+ body fat. Health is one of the biggest aspects of life and reading these gave me a good laugh. Share if you have any stories of your own.
I think it’s perfectly fine to hate on any particular individual/group/religion etc. provided it can be made funny. Fat people stories can certainly be funny.
Yesterday I woke up about 9:30. I watched a bit of Jesse James Outlaw garage. He made a car for Paul Sr. so it was neat to see that crossover.
I went to a bookstore later and got three new Star Trek books just in time for the new movie coming out. After that I went to the supermarket but didn’t get anything as my girlfriend and I went to Costco later anyway.
At night I flipped channels and read some of my Trek book and played with my dogs and went to bed about 11:30.

I’ve only just started reading through everything on the first page of that subreddit, I can’t believe the virulent attitudes some of these people have in the stories. Are the viciously obese really like that? I don’t think I’ve ever been exposed to someone even close to these kinds of sizes, the one about the kid yearning to go out and play football with his friends and eat salad and his mother not letting him is soul-wrenching.
Does this really occur all the time or are these just super-rare extreme examples of shitty fat people?
They are rare. I’m a skinny guy but I would never make fun of fat people. Seriously people… Yeah, it’s not a disease and it can be fixed… But you have no idea how the specific person in front of you ended up where they are. Some people are just self-righteous arseholes I guess.

Self righteous people on the internet? Say it ain’t so.

Well said.
“Don’t judge a book by its cover” really is a tried and true philosophy. It’s silly and cliche, and admittedly very tough to do at times, but deserves merit and conscious application.
Plus, I’ve had a hell of a time finding a single person on this Earth that has all the answers and everything all figured out. Though it seems many occurrences on the internet has led me to believe there are some folks who legitimately believe they fall into that category. Hmm.

I cut everyone a lot of slack, so I don’t pick on fat people or anyone else for that matter. Fat people are easy because they’re hard to miss. The anorexic types stand sideways and become invisible.

Artwork, I agree. Mileage, I disagree. A person doesn’t control their artwork, they do control the wear and tear. Going through our library at home, you can tell a ton by looking at the outside of books. Ones that have been read enough the spine is worn out. Ones with flagged pages. Ones faded from the sun. And there are ones that look never opened.
There is a lot about a person outside their control. Height, frame, acne scars, big ears. BUT there is a lot on the outside that is a reflection of the inside and history.
You might see a woman with acid burns on her face, “don’t judge a book” would have you ignore that, But if she’s disfigured and out and about on a sunny day with a smile on her face, it should tell you a lot. Scars of all types generally tell stories. You shouldn’t pass sentence for how someone looks, but you shouldn’t purposefully strive for ignorance of it either.
