Who Wants to Live Forever

Decided that its time to think long term health not chasing stupid tonnage and ridiculous size, by the way 57 years young, thinking day 1 strength based day 3 cardio day 5 hypertrophy other days rest, slight issue with left shoulder it works just not as good as right maybe 15% weaker. Welcome any advice ?

I guess just know what “strong enough” and “big enough” are for yourself or else you’ll continue to hear the siren song of “C’mon - just a little bit more”

I did a seadlift prigramme first ever in covid which took 12 months as gyms kept closing and added 40k to my max, nearly killed me but so rewarding, life in old dog yet. Trying to get my resting heart rate under 50 from 56 and keep it there.

When i hear “long term health” i think of something Carl Jung told his older patients, his advice was to live like you’ve still century’s to go and to relish tomorrow’s challenges. Live in the past and your already dead.
I think the day i get up and say " thats it, time to take it easy" will be the day i die. Suffering a stroke at 24 changed my outlook on life considerably, it emboldened me to push down furthur on the gas, not less.
