It indicates that, like me, you’re old enough to have watched the Olympics on TV in '72 and/or '76.
So, yes, it dates you.

The little Puff had a Dorothy Hamill haircut in 1976 so, yeah. Officially past our prime. ![]()
I blame poor lighting. He’s one gorgeous beast.
Yeah, the linea alba comment was a total joke, like criticizing Arnold’s forearms.
I’m pretty sure Statham is 5’9"-5’10". Interesting how the movie would make him a few inches taller. His stats online also list him with 18" arms and a 48" chest at 8% bodyfat.
8% in that photo I could believe, but those chest and arm measurements are wild.
@EyeDentist and @The_Myth. Are either of you thinking of getting seriously lean this spring? Doing a competition?
Unless CL or Snap stop focusing on the big 3, I think I have the TN female over 40 category locked down. Ha!
BTW, I still have cake.
I think about getting seriously lean and competing every Spring.
Most years, I can make that thought go away by lying down for a while. Or having a donut–that works too.
But I want to be like Amit Sapir. Train like a powerlifter and still look good naked…Pretty sure I am NOT going to look naked either way…lol
you really expect us to believe you ever eat doughnuts?
I’m playing with the idea, but not for competition - I don’t think I’m big enough to compete. But, I’ve always wanted to get below ten percent and the friendly comp might motivate me enough to do it.
Okay, so really, is this going to be about who looks the best at the end, or who has made the best transformation?
I love that you used the man who is arguably the most successful, diversely-accomplished iron-sports athlete of the last decade as your example. Yes, we would all like to be Amit Sapir. And as a side note, that’s how I train. I don’t incorporate any training that isn’t specifically geared towards performance in strongman and powerlifting. Aesthetics are a nice side effect, but not the intention.
the best transformation, for sure
then i lost already, there is no way i can create a dramatic change at this point
Really interested in joining this comp so much so that I’ll be creating a new training log recording everything starting on the first on January. That and I’ll be keeping my diet in check with regular photo updates/caliper measurements etc. That being said, I’m currently a bit skeptical of how much of a difference one can make in 6 months.
if you have some muscle under the fat, you can make a huge difference in 6 months.
exactly this.
I intend to look dramatically different, personally.
This is a great idea, I’m excited to see how it ends up. I don’t think I’ll take part though.
I guess this comp just gives the fatties a huge advantage haha. I guess I’ll have to make do with that.
