My local theatre in nowhere ohio only offers the good, blockerbuster movies in 3D. I vote torrent over that shit.

Okay one story line part that made me upset was his lack of actual combat training. In the comics, he’s supposed to be basically the best hand-to-hand fighter in the marvel u. (Basically… I know there’s always technicalities to that) In the movie he is just supposed to be “never give up” I’m the magic soldier and everything is okay in the end? I call bullshit on the lack of any combat skills training shown in the movie. You don’t go from a stage performer to badass without training.

Yeah you’re right, in the comics though he’s been Cap since '38-'39 pre America’s involvement in WWII, however in the movie he is made Cap after Pearl Harbor 1941ish. They did show him go through Basic training but after he became Cap he learned military tatics as well as hand to hand combat, the ss serum made him the ultimate human so he could pick things up better but still he would have had to need the skills to be able to do it.

Damn…haven’t seen the film yet but all this chat about Hayley Atwell sent me to Google and DAYUM that woman is packing a bodacious set of ta-tas!

Movie was awesome. Didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did.

I thought he’d be taller.

if you combine two left lenses and two right lenses you can make 2 pair of 2d glasses.

Or spend $9 as the guys at thinkgeek did it already.

First of all…that Chuck Norris avatar is the shit.

It’s funny to read back through this thread and realize how much we thought this movie was going to suck.

Thanks X, I’m fond of it.

very k0ol awaiting the avengers…

anybody have a line on the plot of the avengers movie?

I think he (Evans) is underrated as an actor, probably because of how terrible the fantastic four franchise is/was(even though he did a good job at that character)

I thought he did well in his small role in Street Kings, and I thought his part in Scott Pilgrim VS the World was fucking hilarious.

loved Captain America…well done and I hope Avengers turns out as well.

Maybe Avengers 1 inspired? Loki has the Hulk go on a rampage and they fight for a bit then they all start working together to defeat Loki and a reformed Skull(cosmic cube didn’t kill him)

that sounds cool…I like the idea of the avengers taking on the hulk, then sort of using him as a doomsday last resort weapon against a common enemy (like in the ultimates).

Hulk was a founding member he lasted 2 issues then was wrongly attacked and left they had a similar take in the new cartoon in the 60’s he was semi intelligent then later became the “HULK SMASH” guy.

decent movie. Not on par with Iron-Man, X-Men and the like, but good

I think I’d agree with this as the middle felt the sane for 40 minutes.

X-Men: First Class may have been the best superhero movie…and I wasn’t even anticipating that one…for me it kind of came out of nowhere and hit a home run.

Captain America was still very good, but there’s something sweeter about Iron Man and its sequel. I think it is about equal to Thor.

You’re my movie nemesis, Jehova. Jesus Christ.

…Why Nards…why do you insult Thor?

I loved Thor a lot…I even italicized the title whereas you did not…but I think the Iron Man movies were superb.
