Cap Winter Soldier

Wow, what a great movie. After the first Captain America, I wasn’t too excited for this one. The first one was ok in my book, but Winter Soldier blew it away. Perhaps one of the best Marvel movies out there. Fight scenes are more intense, especially with the Winter Soldier. Highly recommend.

Some interesting sequences after the credits. Not a big comic book fan so I wasn’t really sure who was in the first sequence.

I have exactly the same thoughts. Didn’t expect such intense fight scenes and the scenes with Falcon in the air were just fucking beautiful. Awesome film.

I don’t even read comic books.

I liked it.

The actual story line is ridiculous, but the action scenes are great. First time I have seen a movie where they use the 3-D effects to an advantage.

Chris Evans looking swole as well. Im impressed.

I liked it, didn’t love it though but it’s still one of the best movies Marvel has released.

No scenes except the flashback ones were that memorable for me.

I wish they would cut the over the top CGI Cap Action though, it just sucks me right out.

Having him get into visceral hand to hand combat is amazing but to then to go from that to a blatant cartoon jumping off a motorbike flipping on top of an aircraft and jumping all over the place, smashing it’s engines to take it down was too much for me.

Saw it last night, and definitely dug it. I always liked Evans in the role, and feel that he really brought a lot of Cap’s issues in fitting in with the whole SHIELD/Constant who do ya trust/espionage/I’ve been asleep for 70 years to the screen well.

Yes, the CGI can be a bit over the top these days, but I guess that’s just to be expected . The hand to hand scenes were great, and the rapports he develops with Sam Wilson as well as coming to a better understanding with Black Widow and Fury definitely worked for me.

Super Solider serum aside, Cap’s still a very decent guy at heart, who’s going through life trying his best to always do the right thing. Realizing what sort of world he’s woken up in, gives him serious pause to take a good hard look at whether he’s on the same page as his team mates.

Very well done, I saw it this afternoon.

Probably the best Marvel movie so far, great villain, Scar-Jo always stunning.

SPOILERS

The monocle wearing the German guy is Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker. The metahumans in the cells are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch: twin offspring of Magneto in the comics.

I loved the movie. I like thinking through the whole thing that he started out as a kid born in 1919 that was 5’4" and 95lbs.

Wasn’t Quicksilver a good guy?

Saw it with my son yesterday. Solid action flic… Damn Scarlett Johanson has ass 4 dayz… I think the guy that play cap is perfect. They really stuck to the original story when they made this movie.

Fight scene with GSP is pretty sweet

Did you notice when the carrier was targeting the people for a mass killing that it included Stark and the baxter building? It sure looks like they are going to have a final movie in the next few years with the Avengers, FF, X-Men and spider man against Thanos.

That won’t happen because Spiderman and X-Men are owned by Sony and Fox. Guardians of the Galaxy will crossover though.

SPOILERS

Yes - Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are Avengers. Why they are in a HYDRA lab remains to be seen. They could be subject to the same brainwashing process as the Winter Soldier.

Edit: Loki’s staff with the mind gem is in the scene, so that may explain how they may intially be villains.

They won’t be called mutants or referred to as Magneto’s children: Fox holds the copyright on that. There is another iteration of Quicksilver, played by a different actor, in Days of Future Past.

/SPOILERS

Proof that hollywood magic is real, they filmed this movie in cleveland and manged to make it not look like the decrepit, piece of shit city it actually is.

Gary Shandling coming back changed the whole dynamic of IM2

Also nice nods to “Secret Empire” “Nick Fury vs SHEILD” and “The Captain”

I’m wondering since Strucker referred to them as “the twins” if in the movies they will be his mutant twins? Since Fox has the rights to Magneto they can’t be his kids; or they could be the Whizzer’s kids and they could flashback to Whiz in WWII

You guys need to understand, the argument over who owns what in the film industry is pure semantics.

When there is so much money to be made, they will find a way to work shit out. So long as each company gets a cut, it’s all good. Look what happened with Disney and Star Wars (which started filming this month BTW).

I concur with everything good said about this movie. Never understand why people leave the theater early and miss all the bonus scenes.

I don’t understand your point?

Disney owns Star Wars, there is no two parties mutually working together to profit from Episode VII, only Disney because they bought Lucasfilm.

Fox was so pissed off that Quicksilver, a character tied to the X Men universe but owned both by themselves and DisneyMarvel, was to be in Avengers 2 they decided to cram him into Days of Future Past to introduce him first.

Well to be fair, and I can’t stand what they’ve done to Spiderman Wolverine, the Fantastic Four and X-Men, but Whedon did fire the first shot by using the Chitari who are the Ultimate Universe version of the Skrulls who Fox has rights to because of the FF
