Which Ultimate Offseason Template?

Hey guys I just received Eric’s offseason manual and just had a couple questions.

First off, there are sample templates in the manual and I don’t know which one would be best for me. I’m 6"1 198 pounds and about a 13% body fat. MY squat is probably around 250 pounds and deadlift max is probably around 200-210? I can grab the rim running and taking steps and jumping off two legs. My 1-leg jump is around 28" inches and my standing vertical is probably around 22 inches.

however, when i take steps and jump off two its about 28" inches as well. so basically i need to take a lot of steps to get up, however when i do get up i dont get up too high. i can only grab the rim i cant dunk yet. any other info u need to determine whether i should do the spring or static template?

And also, i wanted to know while im on the program to jump higher and be faster, should i be on a diet that consists of eating a lot, a cutting diet, or just normal diet? I want to just gain strength and some definition. i dont want to gain anymore weight. i weigh 198 right now but i want to be about 185 with more muscle and less fat around september. So what do you guys say about this?

Thank you all for trying to help.

If you are only deadlifting your bodyweight,
i would suggest you to not worry about “Getting cut”, plyos and anything fancy. Get that deadlift up to 2x body weight and squat to 1.5 x bodyweight before thinking about anything else.

so u guys think i shouldnt even do any of his templates yet until those numbers go up?? use half of my offseason to just focus on getting my base stronger then start that program? what u guys think?

Yes if you get stronger you will jump higher already. Don’t worry about dieting yet. The gap between your running jump and your standing vertical indicates you lack a solid strength base.

im thinking about doing kelly baggetts strength deficient program in his book and then after that im going to start on one of eric’s programs when my base is better. how does this sound?
