well thats a stupid test cause if i stand up and put my heels together my calves are pushing against each other and my calves suck.
maybe he meant your toes.

i’d take the first.
second one just looks wrong.
according to the “classical” proportions of the past(example: steve reeves,) aren’t the calves supposed to be close in measurements to the upper arms?
#2
Everyone sees calves. Only your girl will see quads.
I’d hate the feeling of my thighs rubbing together all the time.
Jeans.

I remember Mike Matarazzo saying that if you stand with your heels touching, and your calves aren’t touching as well, then you better get to work on 'em.

Yeah…but Mike was born with those calves and said his father’s were “even bigger”…as if that’s possible.
I doubt Mike could even wear socks if they ever needed to be pulled past the ankle.
I wish I had that problem, but he probably isn’t the best person to ask about growing some calves.[/quote]
I read an old article about Mike where he complained about the pumps he’d get just going upstairs to his apartment and said that he could barely use a stairmaster for extended periods because his calves would cramp too much to the point that he could hardly walk after.
I’d go with option two though. I’d have a much easier time buying pants. Zing!
#2 just need more sweep on the quads and i would rather be in the situation to build quads its easier then building calves like that. is tha second picture real?? if it iz that dude needs to man up on those quads wow
nvm not real i can c the hands n shorts are the exact same so their photoshopd
Quads and glutes are more important to me than calves. Calves are for show.
Option 2
Most people don’t have huge calves. Why not stand out?
I’ll take 1 and 2 and order a set of hammies with that as well.

Well, this being a bodybuilding forum, I’d say the whole damn package is for show.

LOL.
For the record, I agree with everyone saying #2, because I am him. Shit, my dad has 17.5" calves and has never touched a weight in his life. He’s a golfer.

People do realize which forum this is, right?
Oh my gawd, my thighs rub together.
Not trying to be a fuckhead in the least as I appreciate all you put into this forum - But didn’t you stop trying to grow your thighs when they got a little too big to be comfortable?

No. I stopped growing my thighs when my knees started hurting again this past winter like they always do. They are feeling better right now so I will be back to murdering them soon.
When I wrote earlier that they felt uncomfortable when they were bigger, I was in the military during the time I was speaking of. You have to stand at attention quit a bit and being in that position for long periods sucks if your thighs are that big. There are rarely any times when I need to stand with my legs like that for long periods of time in the civilian world.

Do you think that is from your thighs or your overall weight? I am nowhere near your size but everytime I make about a 5lb gain in weight my ankles swell up for a week or two. I assume this is my body adjusting to the heavier weight.
So how big do calves have to be to be considered big?
