I am no freak of nature, but am flexible and arch hard enough that my head is both on the bench AND I am staring at the bar…looking at it helps me with bar path, keeping my head on the bench helps me with initial drive since I am pushing hard with the back of my head (and since I have a fat neck, that kind of helps lol).
I focus on the roof too, as I can keep the bar steady and flat when I do it according to my training partner
