I’m not.
It appears that a very particular pattern has emerged among us.
I wonder if the impetus of this peculiarity is somehow pathological, or just a random occurrence.
Good. I hope the sentiment of understanding spreads around here a bit. The lady at the dog park was something else today. I shut her up with one sentence. An hour of wonderful ball chasing followed.
I’m not so sure about the sentiment in Hungary, but it is laughable to me how the left comes after Poland. Just because the woke left doesn’t know or doesn’t care what happened to Poland, to expect Poles to forget about that is probably asking a little much.
Poland is for Poles. How hard is that to understand for these socialist nutjobs? And guess what, now they’re much better armed.
I’m onboard with scissors and salmon. But a “B” is just a voiced “P,” so the only way to emphasize the p in raspberry is to either omit the b or make a full stop in the middle of the word and I’m not a fan of either.
Could a case be made that, if your priorities are such that you will/can not pay for an ID, you might not have ‘‘skin in the game’’ (learned this expression here) and your vote does more harm than good?
Raz berry
Rasp berry
The pause exists regardless. I’m just not a raz kinda guy.
Unless you say ras berry, which means you probably say rassle instead of wrestle.
I’d have to to poking around, but the case for that has, in practice, already been made and won here in Maine. If you somehow were able to track down these people who want to vote but not do anything else that needs ID, and then discover that acquiring ID is an insurmountable financial hurdle, chances are there would be some program available at a government-sanctioned non-profit agency.
I also believe there are also now ways around getting on benefits issued directly by the government if you don’t have ID. I just learned about that and am unsure of how fishy those waters have gotten.
Back to Voter ID, nearly every system I’ve learned about in Europe and Canada all seem incredibly sensible compared to Maine. I hope more people grow to understand exactly what Democrats mean when they say words like “voting rights”. They mean this kind of brazen crookedness that resembles a breakaway People’s Republic backed by drug lords.
There’s actually some evidence for a bit of that in Maine. Our Governor’s husband, a lawyer, was personally involved in a particularly suspicious marijuana grow property transfer to a Chinese National earlier. There seems to be quite a few Chinese nationals operating illegal grows in Maine. Google that or Triad Weed if you want to learn more. It’s wild stuff.
Probably something legislators didn’t think of, but shouldn’t be hard to correct once brought to attention, I would think.
Poland?
They don’t even care about slavery (unless it’s the small blip on the radar that was the Atlantic slave trade to the US, which wasn’t even the major destination as far as the Americas go).
How are they gonna know or care about Poland?
Easily, and that’s obvious.
Another issue is that in many rural locations churches are polling places, which would mean either shutting down polling during services or canceling service totally on voting day.
La’
I knew a Hungarian that immigrated here as a result of the political upheaval prior to WW2. He was very proud of coming here, joining the Army early, then going back and shooting as many of the agressors as possible.
He described a particular attrocity that makes the showers and ovens look like childs play.
I always say your name as ‘skiz iks’ in my head. Is that right?
Mentally I pronounce it as “Sky . . . dude in a wifebeater.”
The most shocking thing about the showers and ovens, to me, was the industry-like aproach to mass murder.
But what they did before coming up with the elimination camps?
Holy fuck!
This?
I’ll give it a read, seems interesting.
Thanks.
I haven’t seen the movie, but that site and a few other local places have written about the Chinese grows as a problem in the area and the seeming lack of action on these obvious problems that barely try to hide what they’re doing.
All happening in residential properties during a massive housing shortage.
Not a peep from any corporate-owned media in Maine for years.
Thats about how I think of it. Or Skeee-ziks.
I put a little west virgin-eye-aye accent on it in honor of its origin in Dogpatch, where we used to camp (seneca rocks west virginia) at a campground/general store named Yokums (same as Lil’ Abner). All of which actually exists, and last I saw in like 1982 or so, the same as the cartoon.
Run them through grinders designed to dispose of cattle and flush them out into the Danube.
She wasn’t 6’9”, I assume.
I skip everything before wifebeater.
Perhaps in circumference.
“I voted for Trump” was all it took. It was nothing but dogs for the next 60 minutes.
