I usually take my protein mixed with my creatine directly after working out. Is this optimal? Does this affect either of them in a negative way? I considered mixing protein with water in one bottle, and creatine with water in another, but I mean…they are both going to end up in my stomache anyways, so what does it matter? And is it better to take creatine with grape juice?
I take 15-20g of creatin a day when using it, I usually take 5g mixed w PowerDrive and ClubSoda 30min. pre-workout, then mix 5g with my Surge for post-workout and works great! For my other two servings I typically just mix it w 5g of warm water.
I see. I’m taking Prolab, and it reccomends 10G a day. Is it okay to take more? I think I liked the way I felt better when loading the first week (20g a day).
I take it 25 minutes after a high GI meal. There’ve been a few studies showing this is better than taking it with your meal, because about 10 minutes or so after you take it, your insulin spike will be out of the roof, so you can absorb it better.
that loading crap is bs. within a month your muscles are fully saturated with creatine anyways, so that loading stuff isn’t worth it. Once they get loaded, you only have to take creatine about every other day at a much lower dosage than previous to that.
