Hello all,
This is primaily a question for Cy. I had read in another post, I think in the Alpha Male news section, that you thought it was a good idea every now and again to go 1 or 2 weeks without taking any supplements.
Here’s my ?.. I am currently taking Spike, Alpha Male, and Carbolin 19. Around the end of June I will have been taking them all for about 12 weeks. This coincides with a three week family vacation we are taking. It seems like an ideal time to take a break from the supplments.
HOWEVER, during this time it will be difficult to be dietarily perfect or workout on a regular basis. Isn’t it during this time that I should NOT take a break from Carbolin 19?
Also, from the nature of the effects you describe with Carbolin 19, it is a supplement you DO NOT want to take a break from very often, but want to take on a consistent basis.
Anyway, just looking for a little guidance. Thanks!
JF
Just looking to see if anyone might have advice on this…

JF,
I don’t see anything wrong with taking that 2-3 week break, and as you’ve seen, I think it’s a good idea in general. In the past, I’ve noticed that it seems like vacations and so forth are the spark for many to begin using supplements as a crutch instead of an aid. Soon after, it becomes a matter of taking more than the recommended dosage because you had a piece of pizza or because you missed a workout the day before. Go on your vacation and take a break from supplements.
I took a break every once in a while but I always keep my protein, I always travel with my protein powder.
