When Low-Carbing

When low-carbing, how does one include carbs like fiber(to take a shit), and simple carbs like sugar(PWO) at the same time while remaining low?

First you need to define what low carb is for you. If it’s a maximum of 100 grams, then it shouldn’t be any problem. The T-Dawg Diet 2.0 would be a good place to start. If your max is 50 grams, then you’ll have to get a little creative but it shouldn’t be to hard.

As for the fiber, I believe most people take off the grams of fiber (as it’s not digested) from their total carb count.

unless you are going ridiculously low carb for some reason, these carbs will never hurt you. I really don’t even count them among my daily intake if carbs are my focus. They do much more good than harm.

Watch your processed carbs always-except PWO-and eat the better portion of your carbs pre 4-5-6:00pm and you will be fine.

So having a portion of Fiber-one serial in the morning with lets say eggs and a breakfast meat wouldn’t hurt my fatloss at all(I’m talking pre-contest fatloss, not fatboy fatloss). The only other carbs I consume is PWO sugars which is normally 40-60 carbs with a whey shake. Sound harmless?

I see no problem at all with that. Watch for any bloating effect and maybe avoid the week leading up to your show.

maybe you should look at the Get Shredded Diet? The only carbs on there are from fibrous veggies.

I read that article, no PWO carbs makes me unhappy.

Follow the get shredded basis of all carbs from fibrous veggies… then add a post workout carb drink or whatever you normally do and see how that turns out…and ajust accordingly.

I would second the veggies suggestion. When I go really low carb, i.e. around 100 grams, almost all comes post workout, but I still put ground flax in my other shakes throughout the day and veggies with all whole food meals.

Flax is about 80% fiber, as well veggies are fairly low carb and have a lot of fiber, this won’t take your carb count too high, but still will allow you to take in enough fiber to remain “regular”
There is also sugar free fiber supplements, and I’ve heard these work very well.
